Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Mark the host gave us super easy and clear instructions to get to, and get in the caravan which made things super easy. The caravan is absolutely stunning, so clean inside with absolutely everything you need, from plates, cleaning products, even a slow cooker and dishwasher. Everything was left for our one year old including a cot and blankets, and they even had bubbles, loads of games and books for all ages. The WiFi worked really well and honestly we couldn’t fault it. The site was lovely, although there wasn’t loads to do for the kids, they made use of the golf, football pitches and pool. The entertainment was decent and we even won £500 at bingo! Thanks for a lovely stay!

We had an amazing stay! The cottage was just as described and in the perfect location so we hardly had to use the car at all and were able to walk to Windermere, Bowness and Brockhole with our two girls ( 13 and 8). The use of the nearby pool was an added bonus after a day in the mountains. We’ll definitely be back! 😀

This place was beyond our expectations. Immaculately presented, super clean, tidy, jaw dropping views. I can't fault it in any way and I can't rate it highly enough. Will definately look to return in the future. Stunning!

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Badgers Rest. The home was beautifully clean, had everything we needed and in a great location. The facilities were amazing nearby too.

The lodge was fabulous, really enjoyed our stay. I even picked up a couple of decor ideas. Had a lovely time feeding the ducks, swans and other wildlife, very relaxing. Shops and amenities easy to get to by car, lovely restaurants around the area. Would absolutely recommend.

House was as described, beautiful setting with wonderful views of the hills and mountains. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and bathrooms are nicely finished with good showers. Kitchen is a good size and has all required implements. A great location for exploring the central lakes and soaking up all that Ambleside has to offer.

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely little cottage. The attention to detail and the welcome pack made us feel at home straight away. Even the dog was included with a blanket and water bowl. It’s in an excellent location to explore Hadrian’s Wall and the Roman forts, as well as Corbridge and Hexham, both worth a visit. These are only a short drive away from the village of Wall itself, which is very picturesque and peaceful. All in all we had a great break in a great place.

We had a wonderful weekend at Mount Pleasant cottage with our family, celebrating a big birthday. The cottage was just perfect with lots of space and a big garden for the children and dogs to play in. It was well stocked with everything we needed and even lots of toys for the children. The location is really beautiful, and close to the Lakes. We would definitely like to return!

Thank you for a brilliant stay! 6 of us stayed as we were competing in a fitness competition in Ullswater and the location was perfect. Close to shops so we were able to buy all the stuff we needed to cook and make full use of the facilities. The games room was good fun! Incredible views, especially at sunset and sunrise. The house was beautiful and looked after so well with everything we needed. We hope to be back same time next year!!

It was the perfect place for our trip. My friend, my dog and I felt at home in this cottage. There was a lot nice about it but there are some things that are more important to me so il mention those. The place was spotless, the owners made an effort to have small things like biscuits and milk to make our stay more comfortable, shower pressure was fantastic and the beds were really comfortable. The place is quiet so you get a good sleep to get ready for your hikes. Loved all the touristy info in the place which we really used! It was lovely to be able to bring our doggy! 🐶🐾🐾. The house has the wow factor. Clean, tidy and you have the use of a hot tub or an amazing bath after a long walk. I would recommend taking a bath robe and flip flops for the spa/hot tub area. Everything you need is in the kitchen. The fireplace is stocked up with wood and heats the whole house and it feels so cosy. The homemade lemon drizzle cake was a treat to take with us on our walks. Dog friendly and a basket of treats for our pup and considering it’s dog friendly the house is kept immaculate. The area is perfect for those that enjoy peace and nature and amazing views. So many walks straight from your doorstep. There is a small post office in the village and Alston town not far away for bigger shops and fuel station. Lovely neighbours with a wealth of knowledge of the area. My husband and I along with our dog had an amazing stay and would definitely go back.

We had a wonderful stay here and made amazing memories. The surroundings were stunning, and we felt right at home. We loved the cottage and the little touches made the stay even better - the brownies were to die for. Rosie was a great host, and we’d love to come back in the near future.

We have just returned home from 4 nights at Julie's ex-guesthouse and we absolutely loved it. We were a group of 5 adults, a 9 year old and 18 month old and there was space for all of us. Each room has its own ensuite and the kitchen is well stocked. The whole place was very clean and the utility room is also massive which helps if you need to do any washing while staying there. We will definitely look to use Julie's place again in the future. Julie replied in good time to any messages and is very friendly. Highly recommend as a great place to get around the Lakes from too.

The cottage was absolutely beautiful and exactly what we needed! the views were absolutely beautiful and the area was peaceful and relaxing. The welcome guide was so indepth and had recommendations for everything! Would definitely come back again!

Beautiful cottage in a peaceful quiet setting. The perfect place to go, disconnect from everyday life and enjoy nature. The home had everything that you need and everything is as pictured and described. My family and I loved staying here.

Beautifully developed barn conversion, in a lovely secluded setting. The amenities of the property were excellent e.g. well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds throughout, great bathrooms. Kath was very helpful, and provided clear and detailed instructions before check-in; and it was interesting chatting with Hugh about the work they had done on the property.

We had a lovely week in Rose Cottage. It was east to locate and upon arrival the wood burner was fully stacked and we we're left some wonderful shortbread treats. It was very clean and there was coffee, tea and fresh milk available for us upon our arrival. There was loads of things to do within a reasonable distance, lowther castle, windermere, aira force but the real stand out was the tree top nets at zipworld windermere. We also enjoyed a little visit to the local donkey farm and a visit to penrith baths. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would easily recommend it.

We had a great stay and would love to return one day. We went as a family of 4 - with our 17 & 19 year old sons and all really enjoyed the holiday cottage. The stand out 'wow' is the beautiful garden that leads down to the river at the bottom....a very rare find. The cottage is in the heart of the village, so there's easy access to small shops and variety of pubs to eat in. We had mixed weather and so enjoyed local walks but were glad of the log burner and heating to warm up at the end of the day. There's still a beautiful view of the garden even if it's raining. The cottage was well equipped and homely - it was much lighter and brighter inside than we'd thought it would be. Great stay - Thank you.

Leonys house is exactly ideal for our needs. Walkable to the town. Also not far in the car to wonderful countryside .The bath is a true pleasure. The place very tastefully decorated and clean. Wish we could of stayed longer.

Good location just outside Keswick, perfect with a car to visit various walking spots, lakes and close to Keswick. Lovely, clean and very practical place to stay, recommend the place to stay as a base to visit the lake district. Perfect for couples looking forward to weekend away as it is great value for money.
