Nydelig utsikt over sundet både ute og inne, gode solforhold og fantastiske solnedganger. Varteig has many great hiking trails to offer, swimming at Glomma (within walking distance), berry picking, proximity to Rudskogen and central road to both Rakkestad, Sarpsborg city center and Sweden (both Nordby and Töcksfors).
