Ca. 30 min. fra Haugesund. 2 timer fra Stavanger. It is possible to take a day trip to Preikestolen. 15 minutes to Tyshostunet Kulturhus, with swimming facilities, library and cinema. 15 min to Aksdal Senter.

Ølen is a good starting point for day trips to nearby tourist attractions, like Folgefonna glacier, Trolltunga in Odda, Langfoss & Låtefoss waterfall, Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock) or excellent skiing options! The house owners are very helpful in planning your trips.
