Yurt holiday rentals in Virginia

Stayed at a few KOAs, this one was the cleanest, best maintain and had the most things to do. Had a 9 hole disc golf course, nature trail, petting zoo, moon bounce, full amenities store, and it was 4 miles from all restaurants. Awesome place

The location was in a peaceful setting along the river bank. I needed a break in between semesters for grad school and this was exactly what I needed. My yurt was fairly close to the road, so I could hear traffic as it went by, but later at night it wasn’t bad. This place had everything needed for a weekend getaway. I made reservations the night before after making last minute plans. I would definitely make plans to stay again if I come back to the area and would recommend for anyone looking for a weekend getaway along the river.

Really pleasant stay just outside of downtown Luray. Annette was responsive to my initial questions and the setting was really pretty along the river.

This is our 2nd time at Annette’s yurts. We enjoyed our stay in the peaceful, beautiful environment!

This was my wife and I's first time away without kids in 20 years. It was the most relaxing stay we could have imagined. It's a 7 hour drive from our home, we stumbled upon it while visiting friends in TN, and we needed a place to spend a night on our way home, my wife said she would travel 7 hours back to spend a long weekend. It was worth every penny to us. It is a slice of heaven on earth. If you enjoy listening to nature this is the place, we fell asleep hearing the wind gently blow through the trees, awoke to the birds, and had a mix of rain drops overnight. We have traveled as full time RVers for 10 years, and have lived all over the US, we considered buying a 40ft catamaran, and sailing the high seas, however after one night, we know a yurt is something we will own and live in as our children move out and it's just the 2 of us. We had a wonderful stay! We were in town for our son’s college graduation. Kathy went above and beyond to make it comfortable. One night, there was a huge storm-that was scary but very cool! The town of Floyd has some great restaurants and stores. You won’t regret staying here.

This stay was exactly as described! It was an absolutely beautiful location on the river, with a VERY comfortable yurt and space for us to add some tent camping outside of it. Annette also helped us use their kayak, canoe and tube for a reasonable price without any hassle. No complaints!

Very well maintained and amazing property. Plenary of activities to keep kids occupied. It was unfortunate that we couldn’t do much outdoor activities as it rained through your the day during our stay. Would love to go again and again.

It was amazing, hope to go again in the future. Everyone had a wonderful time :) We had easy access to fish everyday and enjoyed “glamping”, great for those who are able to do real camping but still have a similar experience.

Our time staying at the yurt was above and beyond what we expected. The property and the yurt itself are so serene and enjoyable. Michelle is the most friendly host I have encountered, and talking with her about her goats brought so much joy! It is clear from the layout of the yurt to the care of the property all the way through the way they care for each and every guest and Michelle and her family truly love hosting. And that is something worth far more than five stars!

Wonderful family getaway! Close to the pool and other amenities. Place was clean and exactly as advertised.

'My fiancé and I stayed at Martha’s place as a birthday treat for her, and it was the perfect little getaway. The space has such a warm and cozy feel, with all the thoughtful touches you’d need for a relaxing night or two. One of our favorite parts was the peaceful creek out back—you can hear it from the porch, and it really sets the tone for rest and relaxation. It happened to be a rainy evening, and the sound of the rain on the yurt roof was so calming. We woke up to birds chirping and the peaceful feeling of being surrounded by nature. There was plenty of space for a couple, and it would also be great for a small family. Martha was a kind and attentive host, and we loved all the unique trinkets and special details in the yurt. The CD collection was such a fun touch—we played music, enjoyed some card games and conversation, and soaked in some much-needed unplugged time. The kitchen had everything we needed if we wanted to cook, which was a great option.

Chris was very helpful and responsive, and proactively reached out to offer local recommendations. The resort staff was incredibly nice and responsive, and the yurt was spacious and clean. It was a short drive to Gordonsville for restaurants, and a slightly longer but convenient and manageable drive to Charlottesville. I’d strongly suggest BBQ exchange and Well Hung winery restaurant in Gordonsville, and Barboursville Winery was incredible.

We had an amazing stay! The place was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and surrounded by beautiful nature. The deck was our favorite spot to relax and enjoy the peaceful views. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet getaway!

This retreat is even better than the description and photos. It is extremely private, surrounded by the woods and rolling hills of Floyd county--exactly what we were hoping for! The yurt was beyond our expectations, or even hopes. It's furnished with everything you need for a stay of a weekend or more, and somehow there's still a ton of space. We wanted for literally nothing. We visited the creek twice, and Gabe (our Pyrenees) loved playing in the water and running around the shore. The yurt is very dog friendly, and Gabe loved the duck jerky Jessica had left for us. The weather was a _little_ uncooperative, so we didn't get to enjoy the deck or firepit like we'd hoped in the evening, but the accommodations were so outstanding we barely noticed. I can't recommend high enough--my only reluctance is that more people might discover this gem and we aren't able to find open dates on the calendar to book it again soon!

Absolutely spectacular. Definition of “superhost”. You won’t find a whimsical wonderland like this anywhere else. This is our 2nd visit to the property. The yurt was amazing. So many spectacular little details. From the hot tub, grilling, paddling to the cute trio of ducks 11/10!

Great spot off of the Shenandoah River! We were able to rent a kayak from Annette and easily access the river right from the camp site. The amenities are great, especially the on site firewood and fire pit. There are other yurts on the site, but everyone was respectful and kept quiet after 9pm

We were overwhelmed by Mary Ellen’s yurt!! It was exactly as described and was in pristine condition. We felt completely immersed in nature while still having all of the comforts of home. There is just something about being surrounded by mountains and wildlife but having AC and a relaxing hot tub!! She was quickly responsive, provided excellent recommendations from restaurants to hiking trails and even provided a couple of surprises for our toddler. We are already discussing our next stay because we will definitely be booking again. I couldn’t have dreamt of a better place to stay even if I tried🤎

Beautiful area. Our yurt was clean and cozy. Owners were super nice. Everything about it was awesome. Definitely want to go back. Would highly recommend!

This has been our favorite place to stay. it was an exceptional and a great location. The ATV was a lot of fun!

This was a great getaway! We did not know exactly what to expect going in but we absolutely loved the yurt. It was a very cozy place, very peaceful & restful. We had a great time fishing & enjoying the hot tub & awesome soaking bathtub. Short drive to Hillsville for some restaurant options. Definitely recommend this as a great vacation spot. We will definitely stay again.

Stayed here for a few days for my wife’s birthday and it was exactly what we needed. Only about 25-30 minutes from Mt Airy where we spent the days shopping and getting some drinks. The place itself was awesome, very clean with everything you needed. It was so nice to relax and unwind especially on the one day where it rained for awhile. So peaceful listening to the rain on the yurt. Would stay here again!
