Cabin holiday rentals in Wakefield

My family had the pleasure of staying here for the first week in June 2025. We had a fabulous week enjoying this fabulous cottage and its surroundings. The inside offered us all the comfort and things we needed, including an awesome hot tub "tub" complete with rolled towels, clothes pegs and plastic glasses! Everything was exceptionally clean and there were lots of great books and games to keep us entertained as we lazed around the beautiful property. The kayaks and paddle boards were so much fun as we explored both directions on the river. Honestly the property was SO nice we hardly wanted to leave it but we did manage to get out a few days to visit Ottawa and the cute towns of Perth & Almonte. Two fabulous restaurants we visited and recommend is Joe's Italian Kitchen (In Almonte) and Michael's Table in Perth. It was so nice to be able to bring our dog Russ who had the BEST time all week enjoying the water, boats and watching the wild life from his little fur rug in sunny bay window.

A truly lovely getaway that was perfect for our cottage weekend! The loft, natural light and hot tub in particular made our stay so cozy and relaxing. Melissa was so responsive and flexible for our check in/out which made the trip even easier. Would come back for sure!

Great stay at Elsa's Chalet. Very beautiful and impeccable! There was everything we needed, including the kitchen, which had everything for cooking. Elsa was very available throughout the stay and her service was A1. I highly recommend this chalet 😊

Truly a 5 star experience. Beautifully modern and clean cabin with all mod cons. Extremely peaceful location. Restaurant/pub down the road is great. Easy drive to Tremblant. Darren is one of the best hosts I've rented from on Airbnb. Spectacular.

We loved it! The cottage is located in a private area on the lake, well-decorated, and has 4 levels making it very spacious. The hottub and sauna were awesome - perfect for our winter stay. We liked the couch in the downstairs living room as it was big and comfortable, and we appreciated the Roku for easy streaming. We had no issues driving to the cottage even after heavy snowfall - the private road and driveway were cleared. Walkways, stairs and decks were also cleared. Plenty of room outside for walks with a dog and other activities. We would highly recommend Siobhan’s cottage!

Prunella No.4 A-frame cabin is a gem. Nancy and Catherine are amazing hosts - they provided everything we needed to feel at home. They even had all the amenities for our pup, including a dog bed and bowls, which was a thoughtful touch. Their attention to detail, from the property, to the decor and lights inside and outside the cabin, the dock and everything at the lake, was perfect and made our stay a 5 star experience. We loved exploring the trails and taking the kayak and paddleboard out. We look forward to going back already.

We had a wonderful stay! Luis was proactive and communicated clearly throughout. The cottage was beautiful, clean, well-maintained, and stocked with all the essentials. The mountain top views from every room made it extra special. A peaceful and scenic spot that made our family trip truly memorable. Highly recommend!

Christina is such a sweetheart! She’s super friendly, flexible, and responsive, making her one of the best hosts we’ve had so far. The place is beautiful, cozy, private, and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend it!

This was such an excellent place to stop in! The countryside is beautiful. We wish we had more time to enjoy the area. The hosts are absolutely wonderful and welcoming. We especially appreciated them bringing us coffee in the morning!!

Paul's repsonsive and helpful behavior lead us to this spot, 16 of my friends gathered here and had a wonderful time, it was beyond my expectations as there was a peacefull beach and the staff was really accommodating, will be visiting soon in the coming future. I'm very thankful for paul for suggesting us the place. much appreciated and would encourage people to visit here, if they want a peacefull time with nature and an outstanding view and helpfull staff.

Great place, wonderfull chalet, wanted to stay longer

We had an amazing time in the cottage, everything was very clean! We really enjoyed the whirlpool and the kayaks to explore the lake. Alexandro was very helpful and responded quickly to every message. Be prepared, there are a lot of mosquitos.

We had a lovely time. The place was perfect, peaceful and we were able to recharge. Our host is very accommodating and proactive. We felt at home and the place is very well equipped An important point, a portable vacuum cleaner would be perfect but otherwise nothing to say about the place. Thank you for having us at your place

Well, what is there to say except that you feel like you’re in a magazine! The cabin is absolutely pristine and luxurious and anything you could ever want is within reach. There is a fully stocked spice drawer, and teas and coffee and every appliance you can think of - hand mixer, coffee grinder, food processor, stand mixer, immersion blender, etc. The sauna and hot tub are so relaxing, and the view of the mountains is out of this world. Everything is very high end and worth every penny. Sacha the host is very warm and responsive and kind. We couldn’t ask for a better family weekend away. I’ve been in Air BnBs all over the world and this is number 1! Highly recommend, you will not regret it.

We had the best time staying with Caroline and her family - they were so approachable, friendly and knowledgeable about their animals. Our little girl was obsessed with the cows and alpacas and we were lucky enough to have a guided tour and meet them all. The apartment was stunning and so comfortable we can't thank you enough!

This was an incredible place to stay. Everything in the description was bang on, plus more. We were at a workshop at the Cordwood and the location was a perfect distance away. Our hosts were incredibly kind, even drying a sweater that fell in the ground outside the cabin. We would recommend this place to anyone!!!!!

We couldn’t have asked for better hosts. Tom and Jeanne’s calm and friendly demeanor made us feel completely at home. Their property is a dream to explore—we would have moved right in if we could! The Airbnb is beautifully built; Tom is truly a master craftsman. The cabin is filled with stunning rustic décor, and you can’t help but dive into the documents they’ve left behind, which bring the place to life with its rich and beautiful history.
