Monthly Rentals in Washington

This place was awesome! Perfect for a weekend get away and not to far from Lake Tahoe and Donner! The fact our reservation was so last minute and their response time was so quick is what puts this place and its hosts on top!

My fiancé and I just had the MOST incredible stay at Paul's retreat in the forest. It is about 11 minutes from Nevada City downtown, but well worth the drive! You feel secluded in the beautiful forest...animals, deer, beautiful sounds of birds....no noise, just nature serenading you. It is easy to find, easy parking, easy exiting, and felt like we were staying at a retreat. The inside is spacious and clean- kitchen included all the amenities you could ask for! Located in an area called "Cascade Shores" and we ended up (nearly daily) down the street at a small local market/general store with a small restaurant attached to it, hanging out with the locals outside with a drink--who were so friendly! We felt like we were a part of a community, choosing the "general store" hangout spot over the drive into downtown Nevada City. We did a daily walk down to Scotts Flat Lake where we opted to jump in for a cool down on one of the hotter days-Paul was so communicative & kind- price outstanding!

The cabin in the woods was perfect in every way! So peaceful and quiet. Sandy and Lynne were the perfect hosts. The cabin was beautiful and immaculate. The snacks and breakfast were especially thoughtful. Close enough to Grass Valley and Nevada City we could be there in minutes yet far enough to be away from town. We will definitely be back and recommend to anyone and everyone!
