Kid-friendly holiday rentals in West Cross

We needed to stay in the area for regular hospital treatment and Sharon and Mark were so kind and helpful fitting the dates around us. Cosy little cottage with a lovely, peaceful garden in a great location. The cottage was clean and tidy with plenty of hot water. Walking distance to the centre of Mumbles with all that has to offer so despite the reason for us being there we were also able to think of it as a bit of a holiday. Comfy lounge to watch a bit of Netflix in the evening and lovely comfy beds. Thank you Sharon & Mark

We had a lovely comfortable stay in Mumbles at Grace's place and the location couldn't have been better. We were able to walk to everything locally and there were plenty of options for food and shopping within walking distance. Parking isn't the easiest, but between the local car parks and free overnight street parking, we managed easily. Just be prepared for the cost of the car parks.

Lovely house, clean, comfortable and homely. Well stocked for self-catering. Comfortable beds. Great location for enjoying the local beaches. Well stocked for toilet rolls, dishwasher tablets etc.

A perfect stay - thank you. We loved the whole vibe of the place - spacious, relaxed, and tastefully designed. It had absolutely everything you could need and was in a brilliant location - short walk into town via the castle, where cherry blossoms were in bloom. Thank you for a magical stay.

Me my wife and our 2 9 month old french bulldogs had a amazing time in Jonathan's place every you need for a break we did alot of walks with dogs and the hottub was a god send after that location is perfect lots of eating and drinking places and we allways managed to park for free outside the george pub would highly recommend this airb&b thankyou Jonathan.

We had an excellent stay. The house was a perfect base for us (two adults, three children age 10 and under) The annex suited another family member joining us but having the chance to have their own space. House was spotless and homely, with a fantastic view of Swansea bay, Mumbles and beyond.

Great apartment, extremely dog friendly. Great host, friendly and even supportive (hubby was running the half marathon). Very peaceful location but also close enough to local pubs / restaurants etc.

A very tidy little place for a stay in Swansea. Angela was very responsive and helpfully left a drying rack available so that we could do our washing. In a quiet neighbourhood and the bed was very comfortable.

A fantastic stay! Absolutely adored this apartment. It was quiet, with beautiful beach views, all the amenities you could need, and Andrew was a wonderfully attentive host. 5 stars all round!

Carolyn's place was just what we needed, spacious inside and with outdoor space to soak up the sun! We mainly walked to the beach which was easily done, though remote enough not to be mobbed. Nice pub and general store super near.

Lovely clean and spacious apartment. Great view of the bay and only about 10 minutes walk to a fantastic beach. Caffi Lolfa, just round the corner, is worth a visit for breakfast with great veggie/vegan options. Also highly recommend the Ship Aground pub, about 20 minutes walk away. Also had a day at Rhosili which is beautiful and around an hour away by car. Pub across the road was rowdy when we arrived which was off putting but thankfully it was much quieter for the rest of the stay. Group of teens hang around the train station causing a nuisance at times. Could do with a fan for the bedroom as unable to leave velux windows open in case of rain. On our last evening we went to thebeachand had a swim in the sea with the local group of Blue Tit swimmers, they were very welcoming and gave us a badge for our first dip. Overall a great stay and great base for exploring the area and visiting family. Anne, Nikki and Gizzy the dog 🐕

I had a great stay and Sian and Gareth’s place. Sian was really helpful and flexible with checking in and out which was much appreciated. I was given a tour of the flat on arrival and shown where everything was. The flat was immaculately clean and looked like the photos. It was spacious and had everything I needed for the weekend, especially the kitchen which is well equipped. The location was peaceful and accessible for getting about South Wales. I’d definitely recommend a stay here and will be back!

We stayed at Cheryl & Charley’s beautiful home for 2 nights as my partner attended the Swansea half-marathon. It was literally like home from home & felt so at peace from the moment we stepped through the door. They thought of everything down to high chair, toys, books & travel cot for our little girl. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay, my partner is planning on booking Swansea half-marathon again for 2026 therefore we will 100% be coming back to stay 😊

Thanks to Sharon and David for taking such good care of me during my stay! They were easy to contact whenever I had any issues, and even came over to help when there was a power surge that tripped the main fuse. The co-op is opposite the house, which is very handy. The flat was extremely well-equipped, with plenty of cooking provisions and a lovely welcome package of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. Despite being in the middle of the village, it was very quiet at night. Heating was easy to adjust and warmed the place up quickly when needed. I will definitely be recommending the Bishopston flat to friends and family!

I stayed with Mike and Bert for two weeks while a house sale went through, I brought with me my high maintenance Bengal cat Kevin Bacon. During our stay Mike has gone out of his way to accommodate us, the accommodation is completely separate and lockable, I felt completely safe, I knew Kevin was secure and didn’t see any red flags. Mike is laid back and approachable, the perfect host. The bed is extremely comfortable and everything I have needed has been included with no extra costs or limitations. Bert is a very good boy and has been trained properly, he doesn’t go upstairs but he will bring you a shoe each time he sees you as a greeting, Bert was completely safe around Kevin when I took Kevin in the garden. There is easy parking at the accommodation and lots to do in the area, lots of walks, castles, stepping stones over rivers, sand dunes, beaches, horse riding and a decent selection of Pubs. If I ever end up homeless again I will be coming back! Thank you.

Richard’s apartment is the perfect place to explore Swansea and the Gower. Easy check in, and the apartment is exactly as described. Would definitely recommend and will be returning on my next visit.

Such a great accommodation for spending a few days in the area. The apartment is clean, modern, perfectly equipped, comfortable, quiet and private. Easy access to the Brecon Beacons, as well as Swansea. Lucy and David are the ideal hosts: thoughtful, responsive, friendly and accommodating. It was my second stay at the apartment, I'll definitely be staying again.

Wow, what a lovely few days away in Wales. Everything we needed was in the flat, the view was amazing and flat was dog friendly. Quite and peaceful area, lots of DVDs for the kids and very homely and comfortable. The ice creams @ Elli's and meal @ Cattle & Co were reasonable and outstanding! And both a short walk away. The communication with Bethan was very good and easy to park and check in.

Absolutely loved staying at Melanie's flat. It was like a home away from home with anything you could possibly need - extra toilet rolls and cling film/tin foil! Even a brand new toothbrush if you needed it. She's really thought of everything! The place is lovely and spacious - decorated beautifully! And the bed is super comfy! Perfect for a good night's sleep.

We loved our month long stay at the Cwtch! Cozy and clean and easy walking to both the local bus routes and into town. We appreciated the weekly linen exchange. Was a fabulous month!

This place is a hidden gem when you look for something peaceful. It’s a lovely space where you can really leave everything behind and just enjoy silence, nature and relax. House has got everything you might need for to stay with family or a friend. Close drive to lovely beach was a bonus!!
