Family-friendly holiday rentals in Westhaven-Moonstone

Absolutely loved my stay at the Airstream! I was a beautiful and very peaceful place to stay, a great location to both Arcata and the Redwoods. Also loved the access to the hot tub— perfect for relaxing after a day of hiking! Jeffery and his family are great and responsive hosts, I felt safe and comfortable the whole stay.

This place is extraordinary! The amenities cant get any better than here. Hot tubs were amazing, also very clean. Sauna was spotless and VERY well maintained. Shannon was super responsive and helpful when needed. List of restaurants she provided were great. The room was extremely clean, bathroom was spotless. They provided fresh farm eggs in our fridge for our arrival as well! This place is PERFECT. 10/10 couldnt be better. Will absolutely be coming back.

The cabin was beautiful, comfortable & nicely furnished. The yard, hot tub, upstairs & downstairs deck/patio areas were wonderful. I loved seeing a variety of wildlife. I also liked the privacy aspect, being at the end of a long, separate driveway in a quiet area. A very peaceful & pleasant stay, with a cute little park nearby. I appreciated the host's clear instructions regarding location & check out. I will absolutely be back. Thanks so much for your hospitality and the lovely visit.

What a beautiful home! We had two families with little kids. There was plenty of room and lots of toys to keep the kiddos occupied! Beautiful views, and hot tub was great. Beds were also super comfortable! I would stay here again!

Shannon is an exceptional host and our room, The Hideout, was the perfect mix of antique furniture, funky colors, and cabin-in-the-woods vibe. The common areas, tubs, and saunas, too, are immaculate and feel like a spa. Will come again.

This place is so cozy, unique, clean, peaceful, comfortable. Loved the bed, the kitchen, the shower, the tubs, etc. Perfect. WiFi was weak. Rest was amazing.

Mary was super communicative and helpful. She accommodated us and answered all our questions. It was a short stay but so worth it. The place was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Our dogs loved the backyard and we would definitely stay here again!

Kristina’s home was the perfect location to explore everything in Humboldt county. Trails with stunning redwoods are only minutes away. House was very clean, and there was great communication. The king bed was in great shape. We would love to return.

This review is written on behalf of my mother who has now stayed at this location twice. She notes that the Airbnb was great and went on to state that it was attractive and comfortable and that she highly recommends staying there. It had plenty of room, an equipped kitchen, and a comfortable bed, as well as thoughtful owners. "I really do think it’s especially nice."

Kate and Chuck were friendly and attentive. The space was private, comfortable, warm (It was unseasonably cold during our stay) and clean. Thank you for the lovely stay!

Cute place to get away and not too far from places to hike. A lady is staying in the downstairs room and is really nice. She has her horses, goats, and donkeys in the yard. We couldn’t even tell she was there unless we went outside while she was feeding her animals.

Clean and well equipped home, but if you want to walk to downtown Arcata it is about 15 minutes, much quicker by car. Otherwise comfortable, clean and neat!

Couldn’t recommend it more! The warm and welcoming owners instantly made us feel at home, sharing their passion for hosting and local tips. The beautifully decorated bungalow was cozy and comfortable, surrounded by lovely gardens that created a serene atmosphere. Breakfast was a highlight, as we were given fresh eggs from the charming chickens on the property! Overall, our stay was a perfect blend of relaxation and hospitality

This sweet little house was very welcoming , comfortable, everything immaculately clean; extremely well-stocked kitchen,. perfect little deck for coffee overlooking a lovely well-maintained garden. The house was decorated with unique, colorful, artwork everywhere. I loved how it gave the house such a happy, artsy vibe. The house is situated in a modest neighborhood of small houses- some of them undergoing renovations - but regardless, it was exceptionally quiet during my stay; felt very safe. Lovely grassy open fields nearby. (I saw three llamas in one of them !) Amazing redwood forest trails 10 minutes away by car. So many wonderful places to experience nearby. A delightful place to stay!

A great getaway in Blue Lake. Close to the casino, if that is your thing, or quick hop on the highway to the coastal beaches and outdoor adventure. Inside there is plenty of space to spread out and a great yard. We had dogs, so the place worked out great with the extra space and outdoor area. Love that view from the dining room of the rolling forest hills - can't beat it!

Trinidad is such a gem! From Michelle's place, it's a short walk to some bluffs with an incredibe view, and a little further to beautiful Trinidad State Beach and Trinidad head. Michelle's place was just what we needed to relax and get cozy in between trips to nearby beaches, tide pools and redwoods. Michelle was very communicative and check-in and check-out was easy. Nice apartment, a bit sparsly furnished. Worked great for 2 couples. We each had our own king sized bed in our own bedrooms. The separate laundry room downstairs came in handy. Lots of things to do within a 15 minute drive. The owner was very responsive when we contacted him and quickly 5ook care of what we needed. (Getting a new thermostat installed in just a few hours).

Nice place to stay in the heart of Arcata. It was comfortable and easy to walk anywhere you needed to go in town. I loved the Wildberries market, literally a stone’s throw away from the house. Thanks Romi!

Cheryl was a great host. Friendly, responsive and easy to hang with. The place is beautiful and so close (walkable) to the local redwood park, where you can walk for miles through gorgeous redwoods.
