We live in the countryside with lots of greenery and fresh air, a free spirit and are open to guests. The bakery with traditional furnishings, wood-burning stove, sleeping loft and timeless comfort is located separately on the property. Next to the residential building (40 m away) is the modern bathhouse for the exclusive use of our guests. In our house, we read a lot, philosophize, drink good wine and take care of the essentials in life, pure reduction! Adventure instead of luxury.

The location is ideal for anyone who appreciates peace and quiet, nature, swimming lakes and natural surroundings. Bring the whole family to this great place with lots of room to relax. Whether on the balcony, in the beach chair of the conservatory or in the communal garden - there are many places that invite you to linger. The apartment is on the 1st floor and has a spacious living area with a window front facing the countryside. In addition to the two bedrooms with 140 cm wide beds each, there are two more single beds in the attic. The kitchen is new and very well equipped.

The apartment is very quiet and is barrier-free, has bed linens and towels. Pets by arrangement. Just around the corner are Homberg (Efze) with the Hohenburg, the cathedral town of Fritzlar, the Edersee, the Singliser See, the Silbersee and many other beautiful lakes and nature reserves. Are you longing for peace, forest walks and a break in nature? Then our forest house is the perfect place of well-being for you. Take a deep breath. Enjoy long summer days in the garden on the large sun terrace - surrounded by greenery and a large lavender field. This attracts crowds of butterflies and bumblebees in summer. In the cold season, make yourself comfortable in front of the fireplace, in the brand new infrared sauna or by the campfire.

Family Waldkauz's guest house in the middle of the forest

Our accommodation is located in the middle of Germany, close to Kassel and surrounded by nature. You will love it because of the heavenly tranquility, the gateway to the forest and yet only 20 km away from Kassel by car or tram. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and big groups. Unless they are uncontrollable fighting dogs, animals are welcome to us and regularly feel very comfortable.

Our 120 sqm apartment is located in a 4500 sqm garden, surrounded by nature, between Burgwald and Kellerwald. The garden was laid out by a landscape gardener 30 years ago. Here you can find peace and relaxation or make beautiful trips to Marburg or the nearby Edersee from here. The lake offers a variety of business opportunities. You can also start tours with our bicycles or hike and relax in our sauna in the evening.
