Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Zanzibar

Our group of 5 was comfortably accommodated and spent so much time in the beautiful open treehouse upstairs. Even during the rain we were kept nice and dry upstairs. We enjoyed the food made by the private chef and all the staff were very accommodating and responsive! Visits from the dogs on the property were such a lovely addition. We felt very at home and would love to come back sometime, especially during another season when the swimming is better. Bonus - the sunsets from the gazebo around the corner from the beach were spectacular. Make sure you take advantage of the beautiful grounds and walks around the area!

Our group really enjoyed the stay! The home was beautifully nested in nature, yet quite close to Stone Town for exploration. The staff were extremely attentive, helpful, and kind. Would recommend for future travelers!

I absolutely loved my stay at the Cozy Bungalows. It's in a serene environment and I immediately felt at home once I arrived. The beach is just a five-minute walk away—just as stunning as Paje Beach, but peaceful and free from crowds. There are plenty of cozy spots to lounge around, and a delicious beachfront restaurant to get food at. Ijob was a welcoming host - great energy, helpful, and laid back. If the opportunity presents itself - I'll definitely be back.

Harriet's place is magical and unique. A secret garden getaway. A restful escape with a private pool for swimming any time, day or night. Be sure you bring all the food, beverages, and food prep items you need. The kitchen is equipped for basic cooking for two. It is a long journey down a bad road to get there. Casa di Lilli is a gem! Our stay at Elisabetta's beautiful house beat all of our expectations. The location is fantastic! It is a real beach house with a wonderful deck and amazing view of the beach and sea. A perfect place where we could unwind, relax and swim in the wonderful sea. The house is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, well taken care of and very clean. Good kitchen and kitchen utensils if you want to cook your own food. Several good and nice restaurants are right next door. Throughout the stay, we were incredibly well taken care of by Theresa, a wonderful woman who cleaned and tidy for us and was always available if we needed anything, thank you for your care! A huge thank you to Abdul for your help arranging things for us and fixing what we needed help with, as well as nice and informative conversations! Thank you Elisabetta for letting us stay in your lovely house and for a consistently very good communication! We wish we will sometime come back to this paradise. Thank you!

Very friendly owner and helpful for giving tips if you are a stranger. The villa is absolutely stunning and private to you so you can have a peaceful time. 15 minutes from Nungwi where you can find a lot options. We will be back as my friends and I love the place. Thanks for your hospitality.

I had a verry nice stay at Arsheen's. The location is perfect in the hearth of Stone Town. She was verry helpful and so was Mushtaq.

It was a lovely, spacious and decorative flat. My friends and I had all the facilities we needed including a washing machine and ac. There were nice restaurants and cafes walking distance. We would definitely recommend this bnb to others.

I enjoyed my week long stay at Petra’s apartment. It was very comfortable and Petra was so kind - always proactively checking in and making sure I have everything I need for the stay. There is housekeeping every other day and laundry service available which was literally done in a couple of hours - wow! She even arranged an airport pick up and drop off at a reasonable price! Truly an amazing host. I did have some issues with cockroaches in the flat and the internet - very patchy but got 5G speeds through a local Yas SIM card instead so could work without any disruption. A note for light sleepers - the local mosque is just outside the window, so ear plugs are a must. Would highly recommend and stay again. Thanks again for hosting me, Petra 🧡

This is an architectural gem in a tropical garden with wonderful art in the gallery.Really inspiring.And only 250 m to a beach hotel or a lovely restaurant in the Mbweni Ruins and Gardens.And Markus is a superb host

Loved Stefania’s cozy place right in the heart of StoneTown near both Emerson hotels. Loved to hear the neighborhood kids playing outside - it was the sound of unbridled joy. While western kids are labeled as ADHD because their parents want to give them drugs to be quiet, these kids are allowed to be free to release their energy and just be children. Loved all the friendly faces around. It was lovely. Thanks to Stefania as well as her helpers, Sara and Rama!! Great team!

Great location near Ston Town. Host is extremely reposnsive and willing to support with ideas and things to do. One of the best hosts on all Airbnb i had all over the world.

Fumba Town is a very nice place to stay: close to the beach and not far from Stone Town and the airport. The apartment is very neat and with tasteful furniture and good facilities like a washing machine and vacuum cleaner. An umbrella came in handy too :-) because it was the rainy season. Kwetu kwenu beach club is nearby and chill with amazing sunset views. Highly recommended, the apartment and the town.

Abdulla was so helpful, generous and kind, it was great to hear a bit about the family history of the building too - we enjoyed our short stay! Thank you!

Great place to live, very beautiful area, big pool, and delicious coffee in the recreation area

Our stay here was perfect- quiet and peaceful and safe - beautiful location easy walk to beach and restaurants- breakfast was always very good (could use a little variety/ but very good!!)

The staff was the best part of the stay. They were amazing, especially Dan. The property is next to the beach and in the middle of a village. Seeing the African culture and way of living mixed with paradisiac views…was riveting. Several descent restaurants in the area as well. Will definitely book again.

The host Janine and Ramia were very responsive, helpful and very friendly! The location is ideal for easy local and private transportation, Stone town and the Darajani souk were 15 min by local tuktuk, supermarket and vegetable stands within walking distance and the place is a well maintained, housekeeper was provided twice weekly. We enjoyed the patio in the evening, and the neighborhood was safe and friendly. We waked to a local beach to see the sunset a few times, it was less than a mile away at Medinat Al Bahar. The hosts had great suggestions for activities and we liked the convenience of being able to prepare meals at home over our 3 week stay! I would recommend this place highly as it was outstanding and the hosts were amazing! I would definitely stay here again!
