Welkom in het bosrijke Exloo, gelegen op de Hondsrug in Drenthe. Wij wonen zelf in het monumentale treinstation van Exloo uit 1903, aan de NOLS spoorlijn, van Zwolle tot Delfzijl. deze spoorlijn is opgericht in 1899 en opgeheven in 1945. Deze spoorlijn is nu een mooi wandelpad! Naast ons huis staat een geheel vrijstaande en gloednieuw gerenoveerde woning van 2 verdiepingen met genoeg privacy en eigen ingang voor max. 6 pers. Er is gratis parkeerruimte, en een eigen terras in gehele privacy.

Vacation home in nature reserve and forests in Gasselte

Holiday home in the yard of a farmhouse with lots of privacy. It is located near the woods where there are a beautiful swimming pool, hiking and biking paths. Gasselte is known for its many mountain bike routes. You look out from the terrace over the countryside and in the summer the sheep walk with their lambs in the meadow. There is also a lovely dog Sjors, who you may also encounter. In the spring, a small café is opened which is open on Saturdays from 4 pm to approx. 11 pm.

This cottage has been lovingly built from reused materials. You have a private place with outdoor area on a 4 acre nature playground. On the premises is a swimming lake, survival lanes, sports field but also a lot of nature with many birds, squirrels, hedgehogs and much more. We are a wonderful place to vacation and where your children can play safely and casual outside. The grounds are car-free. In the cottage you will find a toilet, shower is within walking distance.

Our guest house is located in a beautiful spot on the Hondsrug. Here you are surrounded by nature: ancient woods, sandy paths, rolling fields, squirrels, deer and a wide variety of birds. Within walking distance of the cozy Gieten with delicious fresh bread or a Gieterkoek at the bakery. Here you will find the supermarket and nice restaurants. By bike, you can reach the Drenthe state forests with the beautiful Gasselterveld, Boomkroonpad and ancient megalithic tombs.

There are many trails nearby where you can do a long hiking or biking. The camping area is a quiet family friendly camping and is pet friendly. Therefore, no loud parties are allowed! During the summer holidays (July & August), kids can join the animation team.
