The cottage is a traditional 19th-century detached croft cottage perched on the hillside with far-reaching views up and down the Kyle of Sutherland to the hills beyond. It's a very homely cottage surrounded by its own garden offering peace and seclusion in a stunning setting and it's an ideal central location for exploring the NC500 as well as providing an opportunity to spot the local wildlife. Deer, salmon, pine marten, red squirrels and numerous bird species can all be seen close by.

The living room has an open fire with bay window with lovely views. The property lies 3 miles from Lairg with all local amenities including shops, petrol station pharmacy, pub, restaurant and railway station. It is centrally locate for day trips to the north, west and east coasts of the North.

Birch Lodge, sitting right on the shore of Little Loch Broom, is in a prime position for enjoying all that nature has to offer so close to the sea, birds, otters, seals, dolphins and if you are lucky whales. It is in the ideal location for hikers and ramblers, surrounded by beautiful countryside, at the foot of An Teallach and close to Ardessie falls. If it is a relaxing escape or romantic retreat where you can enjoy stunning views from your private hot tub there is no better place.

Please Google or read the description in the photos of what a bothy is. If expecting a five star hotel do not stay here. Bothy with a comfy bed. One up from camping. enjoy the beauty and simplicity of the Strath Oykel scenery. A gas stove and a loo with a view. The Bothy benefits from a fire pit to enjoy sundowners and northern lights from, looking onto a loch. There is also a log burner for those chillier evenings. Bring drinking water and food. Everything else should be there.

Enjoy pure tranquillity at Per Mare Per Terram

Per Mare Per Terram is a cosy cabin that boasts breath taking views of Loch Broom and the surrounding Munros. Standing alone at the top of Braes in Ullapool it has a wonderful cosy feeling when wrapped up inside, offering out of the way tranquillity whilst still being able to enjoy the amazing scenery no matter what the weather conditions. The cabin is equipped with a fridge, microwave,kettle, toaster and excellent wi-fi. It also has a shower room and modern composting toilet.

The Old Schoolhouse

Starting life as the school for the few local children back in the early 20th Century, the Old Schoolhouse was converted into a modest family home by our grandparents in 1962. They lived in this remote and beautiful part of Scotland during the spring and summer months and we would visit them every year in our school holidays. We have the best memories of our times spent at the Old Schoolhouse, it truly is a magical place and one we hope to now be able to share with others.

We are a working Croft in the heart of the highlands overlooking Loch Shin, with views of Ben More Assynt. Where a warm welcome awaits you. Come and explore what Sutherland has to offer from walking, canoeing and cycling to fishing and a good game of golf all within easy drive. Spend the night in either Whisky or Skipper. One of our pods named after our dogs. Take a seat on the deck with a cuppa or a glass and watch the world go by.
