Beachfront holiday rental in Ameland

This was the second time we were here. That actually says enough...What a fantastic location, really top! on the water, next to a restaurant and very easily accessible. Remco (the host) is super friendly and the cottage meets the description. It is basic but clean and everything is available. Going somewhere 2 times is already a unique one for us, but this has not been the last time in this place!

A very cozy cottage with a huge nice, large enclosed garden where you will certainly make yourself and your four-legged friend very happy. Lots of privacy. The cottage is perfectly arranged and everything has been thought of … we can't think of anything that felt like it was missing. The two of us could manage just fine with the small shower. The 2 beautiful washbasins in both bedrooms compensated for the lack of space. We greatly enjoyed it! And we are once again amazed by the beautiful nature! Regards, Jan, Elfi and Bowie the dog

A "chalet" on a Dutch campsite, as you might imagine. Everything is there, everything in it. The small space is used superbly. We spent 3 nights there with 3 adults, 2 small children and a dog. Worked perfectly. Check-in was hassle-free, and our questions were also answered promptly. In addition, the campsite is the perfect starting point for visiting the Lauwersmeer National Park, the island of Schiermonnikoog or the new World Heritage Center with the seals.

Everything was great! The house is unique, the location wonderful. Moddergat is truly a special place. Having the mudflats right on your doorstep is great!

Great books available, inspiring. And the choice of music is also interesting and original. The house has everything you need, well maintained, but not superfluous or confusingly large. Atmospherically decorated, candles and beautiful light. It is as neat as if it were a private household. We are fans of the island cottage!

We were there for 5 days. The place was lovely to stay there and spend free time. We were able to reach many attractions and places. We would check back in here. Thanks so much!

Great place, very clean and cozy, you felt right at home in the chalet. The location was a bit secluded and you had to drive longer for things to do/shopping because there was not much going on there. Unfortunately, prices are only a little too expensive for all the possibilities. Overall, we still had a great few days together & thank you Nicole for the uncomplicated conversation. ☀️❤️

Small but practical apartment in a fantastic place by the beach and close to the village

Were there with 2 small children, we felt very comfortable. However, the beach was a bit far away for our feeling, within walking distance. Surroundings/location very very nice. Contact and communication with the host was very nice, quick and straightforward.

Sieske, it was a very nice stay in your cottage. There was plenty of space, good beds and a beautiful garden (also for the dogs). We had beautiful weather and enjoyed the beautiful island. Definitely recommended.

We had a great stay! The apartment is clean and very well equipped (especially the kitchen). We didn't find the volume bad, as written in other reviews. You can hear normal everyday noises, as usual in hotel complexes. But probably also the neighbors you have right now. Overall, we are very satisfied.

The dune house is a wonderful place to spend a relaxing time on Ameland. Located directly on the dunes, you can experience the nature of the island in all its facets. The house is tastefully decorated and has everything you need for a relaxed stay. Geertje is a great host and communication with her was very pleasant. We will be happy to come back and can absolutely recommend a stay dune house!

We had a lovely week with our 3rd children during the autumn holidays. In bad weather, a beautiful indoor playground awaits the children. In nice weather there are several playgrounds and a petting zoo :). In great weather, the lake and beach are waiting for you. ;) Aletta was always available for us and gave us good tips.

We loved our stay on Ameland. Had contact with our host in advance, which went very well. The apartment was like described and well clean. We had a nice time and if we were to go back to Ameland, we would definitely come back here again!

Pierish is a spacious and cozy caravan. The location is great, you look right into the dunes, great! The crockery and kitchen inventory are neat and ample. Recommended.

We had a great stay at Henk's apartment with our 3 children. Various restaurants, supermarket, mini golf and Klein Vaarwater (swimming pool, bowling, indoor playground), beach are about 10 minutes walk away on foot. The condo is well equipped. Not incredibly modern. But everything we needed was there. Henk was quick to respond to any questions. A great host. We would definitely recommend it.

There were two of us staying at the property for 4 nights, which belongs to a larger complex. The communication with the owner was straightforward and friendly. Everything necessary was available on site, coffee, tea, etc. was ready for the first day. Thank you! We were able to rent bikes right in the building and explore the area. All in all, our holiday was very relaxing. We liked the place and Ameland very much!

Petra is a very nice and accommodating host. Everything matched the descriptions. She couldn't help the very mixed weather. Nevertheless, guests who arrive with bicycles and possibly with a child trailer should know that there is no storage space. Otherwise, everything was really great!

It was a great getaway. The accommodation was super clean, very nicely furnished and very quiet. The kitchen was super equipped. There is a bike rental just around the corner, so the apartment is the perfect starting point to explore the island :)

What a nice tent house in a lovely place close to the sea and nice villages and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay.

We stayed there with two toddlers for a week. The bike shop in Ballum is close and you can easily get around the island by bike and trailer. The beach in Ballum is close - but you still have to walk a whole stretch to the sea, next time we'll take a wagon with us. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. We had very relaxing days

Great house for a weekend with our family. Everything is present, the location is very beautiful (in nature, but within walking distance of the beach and the village) and the house itself is beautifully and practically furnished! We will definitely come back here.

Beautiful apartment! Beautiful view over the dunes from the living room. Wonderful beds, beautiful sanitary facilities. Well located between Nes and the sea. Recommended!
