Holiday rentals with a hot tub in Appalachian Mountains

second time staying here and it was better than i remembered. the house itself is incredible.. huge kitchen island for entertaining, immaculate bedrooms, and that back window wall is just spectacular. 10/10 vibes, love this place!

What a beautiful and relaxing place to go. A true hikers treehouse to escape to and unwind.

My husband and I needed some time to re-bond and boy did this place and Tom & Carol deliver. The best airbnb we've ever stayed in, very romantic, beautiful, and inspiring. They put so much love and detail into the place, it went above and beyond in terms of amenities (they had everything we needed plus so much more). I had brought a lasagna that was too big to heat in their airfryer, so they offered to put it in their oven to heat up - which was lovely of them. Honestly this place and the hosts exceeded our expectations in every way. Tom & Carol gave us a personal tour of their beautiful property, gallery and house and all of Tom's artwork - which is everywhere. Tom is so talented and answered our many, many questions. They were super welcoming to my dog as well, and our dogs even played together! My only complaint w/tongue in cheek: Tom doesn't sell his work any longer as he's building a sculpture garden and museum - I get that, but it was hard to not buy some of his incredible work.

Very cozy lakehouse with beautiful view. Loved the hottub and even kayaked a bit in the lake :-) Had a great time, would love to visit again.

What a beautiful place! It’s exactly as described in the listing, but even more peaceful and private than expected. We sat on the front patio in the morning and evenings. We regularly saw deer and humming birds, and listened to an owl one night. Kristin is a polite host who communicates exceptionally well. 5 stars all around! 👏🏻

The home was absolutely gorgeous! It had so much character and was well-decorated. Even better than the photos. Everything was clean and everything you would need is readily available. Our family loved the outdoor space. I think we could have just spent the week by the pool if we hadn’t already booked activities. There was plenty of space in the home and privacy for all us. We were very impressed and would love to stay here again on our next trip to Pennsylvania!

A lovely property to share with a large number of guests. Beautiful kitchens and bathrooms. Kathy was an amazing host who is always responsive and proactive in her recommendations and guidance. I would highly recommend this place and would love to come back in the future.

Our family group had a wonderful stay at Harpreet's place. The property is as-described and photos of the house are accurate. There was a ton of space for everyone to spread out and a great social kitchen/main space setup. The indoor areas were very clean. When we arrived we did have to give the outdoor area a sweep and wiped-down the outdoor furniture ourselves, but that wasn't a big deal. The property backs onto a wetland area, which is beautiful and great for birdwatching. The downside, as others have mentioned, is that there are quite a few bugs. We brought 2 Thermacells and kept them running when we were out on the deck and found this, combined with the netting the host has in place, kept the bugs away and allowed us to enjoy the outdoor space. We did have a minor issue with the BBQ but the host was responsive and everything was resolved quickly. The master bedroom/bath is stunning! Slight drawback for the other bedrooms is there aren't a lot of surfaces for suitcases/bags.

This is at least our third time here and it's literally perfect! The place is even nicer than the pictures. Absolutely immaculate and if you ever have any issues, just text, and you will get a response likety split. Thanks again SO much!!!

This place was everything we didn’t know we needed. Tucked away in the quiet beauty of Lake Lure, it felt like our own little escape. The house was clean, cozy, and had so many thoughtful touches. We started each morning with coffee on the deck and ended each night under the stars—it was peaceful in a way that’s hard to put into words. Our family made real memories here, and we’re already talking about coming back.

The house was beautiful, although we lost water for about 12 hours one day the host was kind enough to give us a free night because of it. Loved the location, we will definitely be coming back to stay again! Only improvement I would make is more kitchen utensils and tools, a pan for the oven, a rolling pin, mixing bowls, measuring cups etc.

Dove Haven is truly a special spot that shows that someone (Patty) cares about it a lot. The house is very well stocked and we never lacked for anything. And the collection of available umbrellas was greatly appreciated (yes, a bit of rain). Spacious hot tub (accommodates 8, nicely) is well-located on adjacent deck with beautiful view of spectacular garden. Rare to find a place where each of the five bedrooms, (with en suite or nearby bathroom), would be a master bedroom in a typical Airbnb. The master bedroom lives up to the billing with a monstrous bathroom including an inviting tub and a private porch. Public tennis courts and public pickleball courts nearby (less than a mile down West Rock Ave) were a treat. As was brunch at Bella’s Cafe (highlighted in Patty’s online notebook). Just plain terrific from beginning to end.

This was our first AirBnB stay and it exceeded our expectations. The check-in instructions, notes about the appliances, and local restaurant recommendations were all very helpful. And the bag of food for the cows was an unexpected bonus.

Absolutely gorgeous. Here's what to expect: "Rustic" in the description means it's an older home. The sliding screen doors need a little elbow grease to close and open. The pool is clean and beautiful, but has rough edges from the rocks. The hot tub is a little older. The bed squeaks a bit. And it doesn't matter one bit. This home is stunning. So peaceful. So relaxing. We didn't even leave for 4 days and were so happy just relaxing, cooking amazing meals, soaking in the hot tub and loving the breathtaking views. Perfect for a romantic stay or two couples. I can't wait to go back. Also, the kitchen was really well stocked. WiFi was great. Swing by Publix in Waynesville to stock up, bring some charcoal for the grill and whip up delicious dinners in the wonderful kitchen. You're going to love it.

I cannot say enough about how special The Wizards Chalet was for us on our honeymoon. My husband and I both love the outdoors so much and appreciate our privacy and this was the perfect place for us. Our absolute favorite part was spending time out on the back deck and cooking dinners together in the beautiful kitchen. In between our adventures, we found so much peace in the drives and scenery but honestly we honestly felt like we were home the entire time. Marianna was so friendly and responsive from the moment we booked and after we left, would 100% recommend her as a host and The Wizards Chalet for a getaway. Looking forward to returning in the future for more adventures!

This was the perfect prelude to our wedding week and a great place to stay for the All Star Race. Host was responsive and the cabin matched all the photos. Great experience.

The place was exactly as shown and did not disappoint! Joel himself was a great host and replied super fast whenever we had a tiny question or two. Will be coming back and couldn't recommend this spot more! We are a couple from NYC that was looking to get away. Aside from the house, the best surprise was the neighboring towns. Callicoon itself (closest one - 5 min drive) was just so cute and amazing! Drove another 15mins to explore the river and do activities there. Just lovely overall. If you want an adventure and relaxing escape, where you don't have to overplan and let life come your way -- this IS it!

This is a true slice of heaven they’ve created amidst nature with breathtaking scenery. The immaculate cabin with everything present to exceed one’s expectations. Exceptional service before and during our stay. We will return and absolutely grateful that that share this wonderful wonderland. AMAZING!!!!!
