Smoking-friendly holiday rentals in Appalachian Mountains

This is a great place to stay and tour the DC Metro area - provided you have a car. Most days it would take us 30 minutes to get to and from DC though if we hit rush-hour, it was as long as an hour. The space is tidy and great. My kids love the pool, though it was a little cold for me-they swam there every night. Jennifer is great to communicate if you have any needs she gets stuff done right away. Note that there is only one bathroom, which can be a pain if you have a full house of six people. The washer and dryer are small so it will take you longer if you’re used to a full size. She had all the cooking methods and appliances available. The theater room has Netflix and Amazon prime ready for you to watch a show. There is even a popcorn maker. We did not use the gym, but it was nice - comparable to a small hotel gym. Property is in the owner’s basement, so there is some sound from upstairs as identified in the listing. Host stays out of your way but is there if you need anything.

Theresa was an amazing host, she clearly communicated with us along the way, and made sure we had our privacy & provided the upmost comfort. Her space was well kept and full of considerate touches to facilitate a relaxing stay, the subtleties go a long way. We enjoyed the hot tub in the snow, shared a few stories of skiing adventures & loved the friendly visits from Ben. The views were picturesque to boot, we definitely plan to come stay in other seasons.

To say that our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jeri's place is an understatement. The house was conveniently located in the UConn area; it was quiet, spacious, well-decorated, immaculately clean, and surrounded by a garden and nature. Jeri is responsive and goes out of her way to make sure that we feel right at home. Thank you, Jeri, for the fresh eggs! We can't recommend Jeri's place highly enough for anyone who'd like a quiet retreat in Eastern Connecticut.

Dan & Jill’s home was beyond beautiful and comfy. It was very easy to find, private and felt safe. The inside of the home was more spacious than expected and extremely clean. The panoramic views from all windows was truly a treat. The hosts were very thoughtful and sweet. If you forgot to pack something, they most likely had it. Check in was smooth, stores/supermarket was a 3 min drive. 0 complaints and cannot wait to stay again!

My dog Sheena and I enjoyed our stay once again! We've been here a few times and it's a favorite place for us. David's place was squeaky clean throughout. All instructions are very clear. He was flexible with check-in, as we arrived earlier than check-in time. David was friendly and responded quickly with any questions I had. I enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evenings and watching the deer in the field across the street. I love the peaceful location. Thank you for an awesome stay again David!! 😊

My husband and I came up to Chattanooga to spend time with my daughter and son-in-law as well as to see a comedians show. The Airbnb was in lovely surroundings and very peaceful. It felt like we were out in the peaceful woods even though we were minutes away from downtown, the arena where Nate Bargatze performed and multiple restaurants. It is one bedroom and not incredibly spacious but has beautiful outdoor space and is perfect for a private retreat or a quiet getaway. Bonnie was friendly and easily accessible.

We’ve stayed at a lot of places, but this was one of the best. Joanie has thought of everything! We felt right at home. The charm and character of this historic place is fantastic. My son and I took Joanie up on her offer to teach us some calligraphy and we had a great time! Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We so enjoyed our stay. This truly was a hidden gem of a spot! It was cozy and private, peaceful and relaxing — just what we were looking for! We enjoyed some cooking in the cute kitchen, the hot tub was very relaxing after a day of hiking, and everything was so clean!

Even more spacious than in the photos! Well-kept place, with a fully stocked kitchen, projector, BOSE speaker, and great backyard. Double shower in the master bedroom, and strong water pressure. Entry is easy with a code. Finally, the host is VERY accommodating, flexible, and responsive. Recommended!

I stayed at Kumi’s place for one night on my way back from a seminar with my working cadaver dog. After a week of working, it was just the relaxing space we needed! I wish we’d had time to stop for more than just a night, I will absolutely be visiting again when it’s warm enough for the pool to be open. The hot tub was delightful for my sore muscles and the shower was super nice. The plants were such a nice surprise and made me feel at home. Kumi was an excellent host and K9 Duke gives her place 4 paws up

We came here for a private getaway on our honeymoon and it did not disappoint. The price was a bit much, but for such a special time I felt it was worth it at the time I booked, and worth it it certainly was. beautiful, quiet, serene, it was perfect for a getaway. I would absolutely recommend, and I already have, this stay. 10/10

The place was really well set up. the drive up is a bit confusing the first time for sure. The house has everything a couple could need. Little bit of privacy, a nice space and a close proximity to a couple of small towns. The house was clean and had plenty of blankets, towels etc. Only negative (and it's a nitpick cause there was a lot of rain the weeks leading up to our stay) but the back deck furniture was covered in mildew and dead leaves. Would definitely recommend staying here.

This is a beautiful home tucked into a peaceful little corner of the mountains. The house has all of the basics covered. The waterfalls in front of the house are beautiful and provide a constant white noise that I found to be very peaceful. However, the roar is surprisingly loud. The home is very automated (Alexa to control the lights, motioned sensing trash can, etc.) which I guess can be a pro or a con depending on preference. We especially loved all of the deck space! And I loved all of the windows that brought in a ton of natural light.

We liked how easy it was to punch the code in to get into the home. Once in the home, it was really nice to see the welcome placard. We enjoyed access to robes, skincare, slippers, towels, etc. The game room was loads of fun. The indoor and outdoor ping pong tables were fun. We enjoyed billiards, arcade games and table games. The icing on the cake were the hot tub, the four mode shower and bidet. The Smart Home technology took a little getting used to, but it was very convenient once we did. We love the quick response time whenever we had a question or concern. This place allowed for a rejuvenating relaxing atmosphere and we are so glad that we chose “The Good Vibes” home for our debut AirBNB experience. Thanks again for hosting us in your charming abode!

Eric’s place is wonderful in a very quaint neighborhood! Communication with Eric was excellent. The home is very comfortable and accommodating for families and large groups visiting. We were in town checking out the DC sites and the proximity from the home to the Glenmont Metro was close and easy. The kitchen is well equipped with just about every appliance or cooking utensil you could need to whip up a meal. There’s two washer and dryers and plenty of towels which is really convenient for large groups. The backyard hot tub was nice for relaxing especially after a 20,000 step day exploring DC (phew!) I would most definitely recommend this home and host!

My fiancée and I had an amazing time staying here while we visited Nashville! The room was very clean and spacious! Plenty of things to do nearby! A lot of places to eat within walking distance! Would highly recommend for anyone else! We felt right at home!

We loved our stay here! The aparment was very clean. It’s located in the perfect location, it’s close to everything you could possibly want to do in Rehoboth. The street is peaceful and close to lots of restauraunts and shops within a couple minutes walk. Amanda was quick to communicate with us and told us everything we needed to know.

This home was absolutely perfect for our stay! It was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The open layout made it feel very comfortable, and everything was spotless upon arrival. We especially appreciated how well-stocked and organized everything was—from the kitchen to the bathrooms. The host was responsive and welcoming. We’d definitely love to stay here again!

This was our third stay and we feel at home here. Always reliably clean and well cared for. The screened patio with lights and ceiling fans make sitting outside enjoyable at all hours. There are many birds to watch and listen to and we loved seeing geese and herons in the pond. A neighbor mentioned this indicates a lesser concern for gators in the immediate vicinity. I don’t know if that’s something to bank on so we take our walks out front and at the beach :-)

This is now the third time that we have stayed at this place in Cornwall and it didn't disappoint. The place has everything you need, and more. Thoughtful touches around the space, (makeup remover, bandaids, laundry facilities, coffee and hot chocolate, basic condiments) make you feel right at home.

Kimberly's place was conveniently located, even though it was about a 20 minute walk to Broadway. She was very responsive and helpful and even accommodated us checking out late...that was a life saver really!!! Thank you so very much for letting us stay at your home!

We did a staycation at this Airbnb and we absolutely loved the location! You’re right next to a Starbucks, great rooftop restaurants and less than 5 minutes from the main strip of bars & restaurants in downtown Raleigh! Only downside is the pool was closed unfortunately but definitely would stay here again!
