(Noord) De bootjes zijn te huur bij de buren en de prachtige bruggetjes zijn te vinden op maar 6 minuten lopen. Hier is Giethoorn ontstaan en staan de oudste huisjes aan het pad. Zonder hordes toeristen. (Die zitten in Giethoorn Zuid) Hier heerst nog heerlijke rust en de schoonheid van het oude dorp Giethoorn. Helaas niet geschikt voor baby's/kinderen van 0 tot 8.

Beschut onder een houtwal kijkt u richting het Fochtelooërveen en de prachtige tuin. Gedurende de zomer kan het uitzicht belemmerd worden door de groei van mais of ander gewas. De blokhut bevat een slaap-, bad- en woonkamer en kan met een houtkachel verwarmd worden. U kunt zelf uw kopje koffie of thee zetten in de blokhut.
