You can relax on the patio, in the hot tub, or watch the goats frolicking in the pasture while you stroll through the property.

Walking Distance! Cottage

My guesthouse is a few blocks from the Arcata plaza, restaurants and dining, family-friendly activities, art and culture. It is a 10 minute drive to beaches, 20 minute drive to scenic Trinidad and you can walk or bike to the marsh. You’ll love my place because it is near the heart of Arcata. Everything is at your fingertips. A couple blocks off the plaza means you will get the access without all the noise; a great combo. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families with kids.

Blue Lake Sanctuary

Surrounded by pastures, it's a short walk to the Mad River for swims and walks. The Mad River Brewery is less than a mile up the road. Excellent mountain biking is 1 mile away. In a 15 minute drive you can find the hip town of Arcata, surrounded by redwoods and hiking as well as a majestic coastline. Sundays 10 am to noon we host a family friendly ecstatic dance in the studio adjacent to the apartment. Expect music at that time. Come join us! Public Yoga classes are Tuesday & Saturday am.

Rest assured, the home is thoroughly sanitized, the 8 person spa is cleaned before each guest and professionally maintained for your comfort and safety.

Located in an upscale quiet neighborhood in the hills above Arcata, near extensive redwood hiking trails. Unwind in our sheltered outdoor living room, with a fire pit by the pond. The cottage is on a 4-acre property nestled up against a small redwood grove, allowing for plenty of privacy for guests who are looking for a secluded getaway. NO FIRES ALLOWED - anyone who breaks this rule will be fined $300.
