Our water supply is from a spring and reputed to be blessed by St Columba. Our electricity is generated by a renewables sources and distributed by Eigg Electric. The Red Fox Retreat is the ultimate luxury glamping getaway location. Situated in the township of Braes, only a 15 minute drive from Portree, our cabin 'moonen' overlooks the Sound of Raasay. It sits on the sea side of an old church building, near the shoreline. It is peaceful here and a haven for wildlife. You can sometimes see whales and dolphins from your window and seals and otters on the nearby shore. Roe deer, sea eagles and buzzards are a common sight too. Enjoy beautiful views over to the Island of Raasay from both the bedroom and living area.

Tigh Eilidh (The Cabin on the Hill)

Tigh Eilidh is our cabin on the hill, looking out to the islands. Filled with light, and displaying a charm which blends rustic with modern, you won’t want to leave! We charge £25 for a dog which must be paid in cash on arrival. The cabin is heated mainly by the wood stove but there is an oil heater for backup. There is loads of hot water after a day on the hill! The first thing you should do is download the map from our photo gallery. Satnav doesn't work here!
