Cabin holiday rentals in Ayr

My husband and I were after a quiet couple of days away and Catherine's place was perfect! Stunning views, quiet and secluded. A perfectly formed little cabin with everything you could need. Very comfy bed and the hot tub is a lovely extra. Gartmore itself is a pretty little village but also within easy access to lots of lovely walks, lochs and scenery. Very happy customers!

Best for couples with kids Plenty of space Nature 💗 You get to see farms n animals just behind the lodge. Lynsey is super responsive n helpful.

Beautiful lodge! Wow factor from the start. Such a high standard of finish. Hot tub was ready to go. Really beautiful and peaceful place to just relax and recharge. This lodge has a small enclosed garden area with artificial grass for the dog (not pictured) which was a bonus! It was fully secured and allowed us to relax in the hot tub while he explored the garden. We would love to come back! The cafe on site is amazing too, we ate there both nights and the food was fresh and tasty.

Great host, perfect accommodation and location

Leah & Lennox’s airbnb was the perfect stay. The lodge was exceptionally clean & the interior was so modern & homely. All amenities were great & the hot tub was super easy to use. The lodge is only a short drive from dumfries which was great for me and my partner as it allowed us to still train at the gym whilst we were away. The forest walk was the perfect start to our morning. The area was very peaceful & we started each morning with a coffee whilst watching the lambs. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay to celebrate my graduation & we cannot wait to return❤️

We really liked our stay at the pods! The location is beautiful, with pedestrian access to a very nice hike. The pods themselves were perfect for us and had everything we needed, in addition to an amazing view! We did not have a car, but there is a local bus that can drop you very close to the site.

Lovely place to stay, exactly like the photos and had everything we needed for our time away. Hot tub was easy to use and such a nice way to wind down at the end of the day whilst listening to the birds.

Wow, what a very special place Seal Point Cabin is - and we loved seeing seals every day we were there! Louisa and Peter were perfect hosts - thank you. We had a fabulous 4-day stay and wonderful weather to enjoy the gorgeous scenery and local sights as the perfect break for my husband’s 50th birthday. Lola the cockapoo was in heaven and loved paddling in the loch. We saw lots and loved every second in this wonderful location. We had great days visiting Otter Ferry (inc lunch at the Oystercatcher pub), Fyne brewery, Loch Fyne oyster bar, Inveraray (inc a delicious meal at Ocho), Ardkinglas Woodland walk, Crarae botanical gardens, Tighnabruaich, Loch Eck (inc a drink with stunning views at Coylet Inn) and a waterfall walk in Glenbranter forest. My favourite was finding spectacular huge shells and sea urchins on Otter Ferry beach. We wished we could have stayed longer and didn’t have to return home to work! We will be back for sure as Argyll’s secret coast is truly spectacular!

We really enjoyed our time here, a home from home. Great base for exploring the Ayrshire Coastline, we look forward to a return stay.

Had really great stay , tha accommodation was great had everything you needed. The boys loved the holiday and exploring Scotland was awesome

Lovely peaceful place to stay, we were lucky and picked a fairly mild weekend in feb, wood and coal were provided but brought extra to have the fire on all weekend. Toilet and shower in the building were clean and close in proximity. Stephanie and Rick were lovely hosts and most welcoming. Would love to come back when it’s a bit warmer ☺️ ☀️

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this stunning location. What an amazing experience and we could not have asked for a better stay! Superb memories were created here for us and our dogs! A stunning walk through the woods and into Ballantrae, 7 miles there and back but loads of wildlife to see and we would recommend. Lindsay and Chris were exceptional hosts and just lovely people! We cannot think of a better break that we have all enjoyed and cannot wait to return!

Brilliant week just what we wanted from our stay , lovely location and lodge and Brilliant host who was on hand with recommendations for things to do and places to visit. Would recommend staying here and would come again

The caravan was easy to find and is well located by train, ferry and bus connections. It offers stunning views across the water and is really comfortable. Samuel is a great communicator.

Great wee cabin to spend some time in. very quiet and private, just what we like. spotless and very welcoming, bed so comfortable. we had everything that we needed. not too far from Dunoon where we found some dog friendly cafes as minnie goes everywhere with us. definitely recommend

A lovely private place to stay. Very welcoming and lovely areas nearby. If anyone else goes here there is an amazing walk at the bottom of the river to check out!

Lovely lakeside property, ideal for family. Clean and well maintained, 2 bed rooms, well stocked kitchen, comfortable heating. Very proactive and communicative host. Two areas of improvement. 1. Access to food in the neighborhood was a challenge, there's only one pub with limited food options. Menu provided in the property was dated and not catered to. 2. There's only a washing machine but no dryer in the property. Overall though, a wonderful property and made for a great stay, we would go there again.

The eco-lodge was very comfy, warm and inviting. We had a bit trouble finding the place but that was because I lost cell signal and had not made a screenshot of the check-in instructions (I recommend you do so). We had to ask Katherine to come down to show the electric situation, I had not fully understood that, if the stove is on, nothing that plugs in can be on as well (lamps, radio etc). Katherine was very friendly and was there within minutes then made sure we were set for the rest of the evening before she left! We were very appreciative of that.

We stayed at The Cabin despite our initial plans to see Billy Joel at Murrayfield being The Cabin is a close location for both local shops etc. to getting into Edinburgh via the Park and Ride at the Airport (the tram system is brilliant) The Cabin has a very welcoming feel, being very clean, modern and great decor. Some nice touches from the host of milk, tea, sugar, breakfast items and shower items were very welcome. Also, if you fancy a quiet night in, there we a selection of dvd’s to watch if you can’t find anything on the tv to watch. Communications from Nick were spot on before and during our stay including how to find the location, house ‘rules’ and information of some of the local attractions. Would we visit again? Absolutely!!! It was perfect for our needs. One thing to be aware of is the railway line behind the cabin: it didn’t bother us. Nick is a great host and we cannot recommend him or this location highly enough. Thanks

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The room was clean, modern and well furnished. The location is fantastic, very quiet at night and close to the restaurant and harbour. The breakfast is very extensive and delicious and the staff are super friendly and helpful. We would love to come back!

A perfect bolthole.... plenty of space inside for us and our 10mth old grandchild. Beautiful decking area with glorious view and we sat out several times..... very private. All mod cons included..... making it a very relaxing place to chill out. When we had a problem with the heating Andrew came and fixed it with a friendly smile. Mary explained all about the Lodge when we arrived and was at the end of the phone if needed. Thank you both. Kathy & Iain

We had a lovely stay at the Treetop Lodge. It was a pleasure staying in such a peaceful and relaxing lodge after a chaotic week at work. And we are now converted to bird watchers!
