It is in the center of the Island, close to the highway, ideal as a starting point for long drive or walking tours. There are several sandy beaches around, a waterfall and a natural pool within a 5-minute walk, and a walking trail with a stunning scenery. Quiet place, in the middle of nature, without noise from cars. Totally relaxing and invigorating!

Furnas Lake Cottage

Furnas lake cottage is one of the only few houses that sit looking out over the Furnas lake. It was build in the beginning of 1960's as my grand parents summer house. It’s a vintage cottage! The Japanese Cedar Villa, measuring almost 70m2, has a bedroom, a living room with a dining area, a bathroom, a fully equipped kitchenette and a balcony. The bedroom can have a king size bed or 2 single beds, just let us know what you prefer. It is equipped with air conditioning/heating, Wi-Fi and a television. It is ideal for 2 people but can accommodate a 3rd or 4th person (children or baby) using an extra bed in the living room (without blackout).

Casa do Galo is a five-minute walk away from the “green lake”, and only three from the “blue lake”, giving you the opportunity to enjoy, comfortably, the peace and tranquility of the Sete Cidades volcano crater, immersed in the different shades of green. There are several recommended trails in the area which allow guests to explore the beauty of the nearby lakes and the local restaurants give you the chance of tasting the delicious Azorean cuisine.
