I’ve travelled quite a bit using Airbnb, and hands down, this has been the best host I’ve experienced on the app. They went above and beyond on multiple occasions to make our trip special — from picking us up and dropping us off at the Bellano train station, to giving us fantastic restaurant recommendations and local tips. I would highly recommend this place to others. The place was small but was everything you needed for a couple to feel homely.

Een heerlijk huisje in een authentiek dorp. We hebben genoten van het prachtige uitzicht vanaf het terras op de lekkere bank, heerlijk geslapen op de goede bedden (ook de sofabank) en de regendouche was ook super. Het contact met Kathi en Ivan was zowel snel als heel vriendelijk, gebruik vooral hun reisgids want daar staan hele goede aanbevelingen in. Pognana is een pareltje, je kunt mooie wandelingen maken naaf boven en op het 'strand' beneden zit je in no time. Bar Sonia boven is heel goed en gezellig, je bent er zo een vaste klant. Ook Marvin, onze hond, heeft genoten, er was nog een verrassing voor hem bij aankomst, heel lief! Je zit heerlijk privé in het huisje, soms hoor je de bovenburen, maar dat was niet storend. Van Bar Sonia hoor je overigens niets. Heel erg bedankt dat we mochten blijven en hopelijk tot ziens!

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the unbeatable location of this home. Being directly on the lake, the views are nothing short of magical. Waking up in the morning and looking out over the water from the bedroom felt like something out of a dream — peaceful, serene, and impossibly beautiful. The lake was quite literally at our doorstep. The home itself was spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and full of charm. Every little detail was taken care of, and we felt instantly at ease. A special shoutout to our host, who went above and beyond when we realized last minute that we had forgotten to include our mother-in-law as a guest. It was entirely our oversight, and yet the host was kind, understanding, and incredibly accommodating. That kind of graciousness makes all the difference when you’re traveling. We can’t say enough good things about this place — the comfort, the views, the hospitality. If you’re lucky enough to find availability here, book it. Can’t wait to return

Such a historic, peaceful and walkable place. Market, 3restaurants and boat dock close for boat tours. Eros and Daniel were some of most helpful and responsive hosts I have seen. They live a block away. Will always cherish sitting on lawn at dusk watching lake Como lights come on

This home is in an outstanding location overlooking the lake and Lugano. We were blown away by the view from every window. The location was very peaceful, and the home was extremely well-stocked. We enjoyed coffee on the balcony or the covered deck every day (depending on how hot it was!). The home is located a quick drive to downtown Lugano, and a short drive to the top of Monte Bre (highly recommend!) and to Gandria (also highly recommend). We fell in love with Lugano and the surrounding area thanks in part to this house…we will definitely be back.

Wow! What a beautiful location! Claudio was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The apartment was squeaky clean and had a fantastic view of the lake. We will definitely be back. Personally I would recommend having a little car to get around as I imagine it would be a hard walk back up from the town once you’re full of pasta! Thank you so much Claudio.

Luigi's flat has got everything you require and has the most stunning view on the balcony. Luigi has a very easy and informative check in and out process. The YouTube videos additionally information made the process easy. The location is Excellent, situated in a peaceful town, with pretty views of the lake and sorrounding towns. Bar Milano is very close which do a very nice pizza. However, the hill walk upto the location is a challenge. We turned to taxis (which does costly if you go up and down a lot) and a free night bus which operates 7pm-12pm which we found it only on the rare occasion. Overall experience was great! We wish to be back in the future.

Tout était parfait , juste une remarque , la voiture est indispensable , l appartement est superbement bien situé , dans une résidence de haut standing , environnement très calme , reposant. Mais pour s approvisionner , c est le parcours du combattant , il faut prévoir .

This Airbnb was beyond gorgeous.. The views were just absolutely breathtaking and it was nice to be on the local side of Lake Como.. our host made great recommendations.. and we really enjoyed sitting out on the terrace. Our host was absolutely so kind and we really enjoyed meeting her.. thank you for being flexible and just a great host. We would definitely will be back.

This place is amazing! The quiet nights on the patio, or walking down to the lake to enjoy the lights in the castle with evening setting on Lake Como were so wonderfully relaxing. I would recommend to anyone wanting to escape the insanity of Varenna. Other pluses. Town parking pass for Dervio. Amazing breakfast waiting for the ferry there, full kitchen for spectacular sunset meals with the best view of the lake!

This was our first time staying on Lake Como and this place did not disappoint. It was quiet and relaxing and to stay in a town away from all the hustle and bustle was so relaxing. Our hosts Alessandra and Roberto checked in on us pre check in and during our stay they made us feel at home! Would definitely come back again

Paola was a wonderful host, answered all our questions and responded very quickly when we got turned around. finding the place was a little tricky even with the pictures but she was able to help us with that. as others have reviewed the stairs can be quite daunting but the view is definitely worth the climb. the space is very clean and spacious and as described. also we had a car and being able to park it very close nearby in a protected lot was a huge perk for us.

Wir haben eine Woche in der Unterkunft von Mara und Marco verbracht. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit, die Aussicht war wunderbar und die Tipps von Mara goldwert. Wir hatten in der Küche alles was wir brauchten und es war außergewöhnlich sauber. Nicht mal Staub in den Schränken gab es. Es gibt einen Parkplatz auf dem Grundstück und nicht an der Straße - somit haben wir uns auch um unser Auto keine Sorgen gemacht. Wir schließen uns einigen der Bewertungen an, dass das Bett nicht so bequem war und die Couch ebenfalls. Auch, dass es kein Internet gibt sollte einem bewusst sein - wir hatten aber mobile Daten somit war das kein Problem. Wenn einem das (so wie uns) nicht wichtig ist hat man hier auf jeden Fall eine tolle Zeit! Wir würden wieder kommen.

The condo is amazing with modern amenities, and the views of Lake Como that will be forever in our heart. The local merchants are frendly, and helpful. The laundry service was excellant, and convenient while on vacation. We were able to have a small dinner party with friends on the rooftop veranda. This location was located perfectly to enjoy the near by villas and the gardens. The piazza was very close by for relaxing and people watching. The taxi services were great for some adventures to the Castle and Bellano. Fiumelatte just a short walk down the road, or longer via the Greenway. We will cherish our time spent here, and hope to return! I would highly recommend staying here!

Wir haben uns bei Sonja vom ersten Empfang heimisch gefühlt. In der Wohnung fehlte es uns an nichts. Sie ist vollständig und für körperlich eineschränkte Gäste ausgestattet, bis hin zum Nähzeug und kleinen Gesellschaftsspielen. Eine familiäre Atmosphäre haben wir auf dem gesamten Gelände gespürt, mit Spielsachen und -geräten für Kinder. Sonja war uns gegenüber immer verbindlich und hilfsbereit. Ein Aufenthalt, den wir schon heute zu unseren schönsten Urlaubsunterkünften zählen und uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen können.

Super charming home with absolutely stunning views of Lake Como better seen in person. The amenities were wonderful and the hosts were so very friendly, attentive and helpful. Highly recommend staying here! Also, be sure to book any transportation ahead of time.

Best way to describe this location is STUNNING! The views are breath taking - more beautiful in person than the photos! We loved our stay - hard to beat having morning coffee & evening wine surrounded by such beauty! The night view when the lights appear is as beautiful as the day view! A car was necessary but well worth it. David was a very responsive and helpful host & we would definitely stay again if we have that opportunity!

Enrica (AKA Kikka) is a delightful woman who cares about her guests and does everything to make them feel at home. She responded very quickly to any of our questions and needs. She had great suggestions for restaurants, activities and site seeing outings, all listed in an informative book on the kitchen table. The view from the room is magical, almost beyond description, as you look out on to Lake Como both day and especially night! Great place to stay in Varenna! Beautiful apartment with great recommendations and booklets left in the apartment. Locality wise it was perfect with being right beside the train station and walking distance of the ferry. Very nice local restaurants. We had a great stay. 5 stars from us :)

We had a wonderful stay in Bellagio and couldn’t have asked for a better host. Alessia was incredibly kind, responsive, and so helpful in planning our visit. She offered great recommendations and made everything feel easy and stress-free. The house itself was absolutely gorgeous, with stunning views, thoughtful touches, and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights was how she even came to meet us at the ferry and helped with our luggage, which we truly appreciated after a long day of travel. We felt so well taken care of and would highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting!

Giovanni was a fantastic host! He is extremely responsive, proactive and always willing to help. We had a number of questions about the area throughout our week long stay and was happy to assist however he could. The unit itself is absolutely beautiful with unbelievable views… even better in person! There are a number of great restaurants within walking distance (the Bar across the street was particularly great for breakfast!). We would recommend having a car while you are there as the ferry service is a bit frustrating to navigate (especially as a non-local). Parking is paid during the high season, but usually easy to find a spot (there is a small lot directly across the street). Couldn’t recommend this place enough, Giovanni is a great host.
