Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Bosnia

The house is even better than we expected. You will be allowed to spend your vacation in rural-style, handling fire in the stove, cooking on coal, and strolling neighbourhood upside-down. In a nutshell: bedroom is cosy, view to the lake is stunning, living studio on the first floor with a kitchen, where stove is located, is spacious and decorated, terrace is also huge, we personally loved to sit on the seesaw and drink coffee watching the lake. There are two bathrooms, each with a shower, on the first and second floor (second one connected to bedroom) Also the hospitality was over any estimates. We were welcomed with a shot of homemade rakija, also host helped us arranging a boat ride and was always there to help. Totally recommend, I left a piece of my heart there.

SHE House was as advertised. We quickly called her home feeling acclimated & comfortable. Our GPS sent us some terrible way initially but the locals were very friendly offering us assistance. Our host was patient & accommodating showing us how many ways to reach the house ("all roads lead to SHE House"). We really enjoyed how centrally located the home was to all things on Brac Island. We realized our visit was a bit early for the weather & the season when our original ferry from Makarska was cancelled due to bad weather but no worries we just had to go to Split. The wind was so strong it actually blew open the latched front door one afternoon. The soft throws in the basket were nice & cozy-really appreciated. Some of our favorite meals were at Pumparela Restaurant & Taverna Riva in Bol; Konoba Kopacina & Restaurant Ziza in Donji Humac; Gastro Diva in Makarska. Driving in Croatia is NOT for the faint of heart but if you happen to be on the D8 stop for coffee at Strada.

Thanks a lot to you and your family, the experience was great with a lot to do. One of the days the kids refused to leave the house. The host was always checking by messages and provide recommendations for the area. For sure I will recommend the place and if I come again it will be my first choice. Best wishes

Very nice and large accommodation with private pool. Everything you needed was at the accommodation, super smooth check-in and check-out and very nice host! Everything was also clean and the rooms were large and fresh.

My whole family was obsessed with this place. The adults loved the beautiful scenery and the peacefulness and the kids loved the hot tub and the swings. The house is adorable and very nice and the views were even better than the pictures. We loved meandering around Humac and being close to so many interesting small villages to explore. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat on the island of Hvar, you will be hard pressed to find something better than Mario’s place.

We had the most wonderful experience staying at Milena and Mirko’s villa. From the moment we arrived, Milena made us feel incredibly welcome. She was warm, thoughtful, and went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed. Her hospitality was truly above and beyond – always available, kind, generous and full of advice and local secrets.  Mirko was equally lovely – a kind-hearted host who regularly checked on the villa to make sure everything was perfect. He even brought us thoughtful little gifts during our stay, which made us feel extra special. The villa itself is immaculately maintained. The pool and hot tub are outstanding, and the outdoor summer kitchen is a dream come true – perfect for cooking and relaxing in the stunning surroundings. The view from the villa gave us a true sense of peace and escape. We can't recommend this place enough. It’s clear that Milena and Mirko put their hearts into hosting this villa. We would definitely return.

We had a very nice holiday here. (2 adults, 2 teenagers, 2 dogs) Everything was as described. Upon arrival, there was even a small gift in the refrigerator. The furnishings are of very high quality . In our opinion, nothing was missing in terms of equipment. We only bought one candle for outside. Communication with the landlord was great and our concern was resolved immediately. Thank you for a perfect holiday stay.

The stay was just perfect! The place was exactly as described – clean, modern and very cozy. We especially liked the loving furnishings and the quiet location. The host was super friendly, helpful and available at all times. We felt completely comfortable and would be happy to come back. Recommendation for anyone who wants to spend a relaxed and carefree time!

Great appartment, some oddities but superb location. The room layout was a bit odd, style was a bit dated, pull-out bed was so-so. Would I book again? Yes, certainly.

Adna is a great host! Even though we arrived late, she welcomed us at the apartment and kindly showed us around. She is very friendly and answered all our questions no matter the time. The apartment has everything you need even a gym upstairs! I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Bosnia. Highly recommended!

We had a most memorable stay at ivor’s place. The price point was incredibly reasonable for what we got. The view and amenities were outstanding. Ivor was always responsive, and when he wasn’t available on site, his mother was very helpful. It was so nice to feel part of the community! It’s such an idyllic village, and it was even more perfect because the huge tourist rush was coming to an end. We can’t say enough good things about the apartment, Ivor and his family, and we’d highly recommend staying with them. Thank you Ivor and family for your kindness and hospitality 😊❤️

The only thing I could fault about this Airbnb was the rather offhand greeting on our arrival. The shower was excellent but a non slip shower mat would make it much safer. Thanks Paul

The apartment is beautifully decorated, modern and very clean. Everything was exactly as described, without any surprises. The stay was pleasant and stress-free – we highly recommend it.

It was nice place. If u have car it is easy and acceptable. Without car it will be terrible.

We stayed at Arzu and Emin’s place, and they were the most incredible hosts we’ve ever met. The house was beautifully designed with every little detail thoughtfully arranged , honestly, the best stay we’ve ever had. If you’re looking for the perfect place to stay in Bosnia, this is it. Highly recommend!

Nice stay at villa paradise. It’s really a little lovely cottage in the middle of the mountains. The perfect place to get disconnected to the speedy days. I recommend !! Ivana is so responsive and proactive.

Really special stay! Amazing panorama. The barbecue outside gives you a good vibe. We loved watching the evening projector movie. It was clean and well-equipped. We would come back anytime:)

More than one could wish for. We were pleasantly surprised with interior.

A fantastic stay just on the outskirts of Zablak. The hut was fantastic- with everything needed for a great stay. Zivko and his wife were very friendly and their home and animals , especially their dog, all fantastic. Highly recommend this if you are looking for somewhere just outside Zablak, in easy walking distance of the town itself, with perfect access to explore Durmitor. A great stay.

There were two of us plus a dog on site and we immediately felt comfortable. The house is cozy, although now a bit outdated, and all the necessary things are available. The contact with the host was great, fast and extremely friendly. The garden is great, we have never seen such a beautiful wildflower meadow. We would rent the house again at any time, not least because the location is an excellent starting point for exploring the national park, the Tara Gorge and the nearby plateau. Note: New holiday homes are popping up like mushrooms in the entire area. Five new houses have already been built on the back of the house, which is not really visible in the photos. From time to time we heard construction noise, but it did not bother us. But if you are looking for absolute peace, you should know this. Despite this note, we give it our unreserved recommendation!

The host responds very quickly, is very polite and pleasant! The houses are incredible and they are better than in the photo! Great place, large parking lot, very nice! We'll come again!
