Comfy detached rural cottage Devon -hot tub, views

JonRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Lovely cottage, had everything we needed for a great week. Well appointed kitchen and bathrooms. All the crockery, utensils and pans you need for cooking. Hot tub was certainly a favourite and well used! Nice to have plastic ‘glasses’ for use outside. Great selection of games was a nice surprise. Being able to walk the dog right from the doorstep made it so easy - we really enjoyed exploring the smallholding. Hosts were very quick to respond with answers and support. Yes, the Tesco delivery man did manage to find us and unload :-)

Beautiful countryside retreat with hot tub

CameronRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Very lovely place, me and my girlfriend stayed here for a weekend and had no complaints. The host responded quickly and the property looked exactly like the photos. All the extra little touches like the fire wood, slippers, eggs and etc really made us feel welcome. Overall we really enjoyed our stayed and would happily stay here again.

Stunning stable conversion, hot tub + garden

LeighRating, 5 stars10 months ago
The surroundings were lovely and a large enclosed garden was great for the dog and our 3 children. we had many a happy night in the hot tub. Lots of things for the kids to play with. We drove to all the local beaches would say most things are within an hour's drive and would recommend watermouth castle as a day out if you have kids!

Littlecott Retreat

HollyRating, 5 stars3 days ago
The place was really nice and absolutely spotless when we got there. Nigel and Perry were both very nice and helpful and responded very quickly to messages. The only things is one of the windows didn’t have a blind which made it very bright in the mornings and struggled to sleep in. Also the sat nav brought us in a different direction from the directions on the listing which was a little confusing but Nigel was stood outside waiting for us when we arrived so wasn’t really a problem. Just something to mention. Overall it was a really nice stay and would recommend.

Honeysuckle Cottage with optional hot tub

AngelaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Honeysuckle Cottage. Spotlessly clean and bright. Very well equipped modern kitchen. Comfortable lounge and bedrooms and a sunny conservatory for dining in. Our host Helen welcomed us and a gorgeous cream tea awaited us, together with homemade scones, jam and bread. Milk, butter and eggs also provided. Such attention to detail. The garden is pretty and dog safe. Helen even provided dog bowls and towels and a treat! We would highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed.

The Cottage at Woodlands, Lynbridge, Exmoor

PeggyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Lesley’s place was perfect for our needs. It was peaceful and it was close to all of the things we wanted to do in the area. The cottage was clean, the kitchen has everything we needed to cook and eat in. It was a bit of a climb to get to the entrance and it was two floors, so anyone with mobility issues should look at that. However, we had a great stay in a very beautiful part of the UK.

200 year old character cottage close to beach

MarkRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We have just returned from a long weekend in North Devon and a stay at Carpenters Cottage, the cottage itself is beautiful, quaint and quirky, we loved it! The roll top bath was fabulous for a long relaxing soak after lots of exploring. The outside space was perfect for us, just a nice space to sit and enjoy a drink of an evening. The log burner, whilst we didn’t use it, had everything you would need to be super cosy. Our host Jon, was spot on with directions etc and recommendations and super helpful going above and beyond with requests I made prior to arrival, thank you 🙏🏻. We would have no problems in recommending Jon and Carpenters Cottage 😊

We had a brilliant stay at Hideaway Cottage. It was well equipped, comfortable for 4 adults and the views (and sunsets) from the garden were absolutely stunning. Appledore itself is a perfect location to explore North Devon. Thanks also for the cream tea!

Church Ford Cottage - beautiful 17thC. thatch

JaneRating, 5 stars1 month ago
A very pretty cottage in a stunning location. Dave and Lucy were so welcoming and helpful. The well equipped accommodation has everything you could need for a most comfortable and relaxing stay. The private garden with various outdoor furniture (including hammock and barbeque) is a real plus. The location is ideal for visiting the beautiful Devon countryside and coastline, RHS Rosemoor, and the nearby Tarka trail is ideal for a wonderful cycle ride along the river to the sea.

Meadow Cottage, at a micro-brewery near Dartmoor

StephanieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Marc and Amy were fantastic hosts! They provided everything promised. The cottage was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Their attention to detail and thoughtfulness toward their guests is apparent. Marc gave us a thorough tour and history of the property which was fascinating - especially coming from the states where buildings aren’t nearly that old! Our only honest regret is that we didn’t book a few more days so we could spend more time on the property to explore and appreciate the hard work they’ve put into its upkeep and restoration.

18th century fishing cottage on the water's edge

MarkRating, 5 stars2 days ago
We booked and stayed at Joshua’s cottage in Appledore for four nights. The cottage is in a fantastic location, offers great accommodation and is well appointed. We stayed as a family of four (2 adults, 2 children) and found Joshua’s cottage to be perfect for our needs. The cottage is in a peaceful waterfront location on the estuary of the rivers Torridge and Taw, right on Irsha Street, close to parking, and close to both the Royal George Hotel and Beaver Inn for great pub meals and the odd drink. The cottage is also a short walk to the main Appledore quay, where the Hockings ice cream vans park up, and where there are various nearby shops and cafes on both the quay and in the many walkways behind. There is also the added bonus of being close to the larger centres of Bideford and Barnstaple, with easy access to other localities like Westward Ho!, Instow, Clovelly and Hartland. Joshua was a fantastic host, very responsive and helpful. We cannot recommend Joshua’s cottage enough.

Mulberry Cottage

CatherineRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I came to the Christian Music Festival at St. Mary’s so it was very handy to walk from there to the church. It was just right for one person. I brought my dog and the courtyard was very handy to take him out into especially at night. Lights came on as we went out in the dark which was great. The cottage was very comfortable and clean.

Stylish Fisherman's Cottage on the N. Devon Coast

BethRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a lovely stay a Rock Cottage. It's beautifully furnished, comfortable and had everything we needed to relax after a day walking or beach dwelling! Morthoe is a very pretty little village that has everything you need and Woolacombe is not far at all, a very scenic walk away. We enjoyed Barricane beach with its cafe and sheltered waters for a swim. We hope to return. Thank you Anya 😊

Stables A delightful one bed cottage & parking!

VinceRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We had a fantastic week at the cottage. We know Appledore well and this was by far and away the best accommodation we have stayed in. We were reluctant to give this review five stars as it could mean it will be fully booked from now on and we won't be able to return. However, we could not recommend this more highly. The size of the lounge and bedroom with high ceilings and loads of light was special. Thank you again.

pretty cottage 2 mins from beach / golf course

HelenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Lovely cottage in lovely surroundings. Lots of thoughtful touches and a homely feel. The garden was great, our dog really enjoyed playing and running around and great that it was fenced in. Really close to the beach and lovely town of Braunton. If we didn't have my mum and the dog with us we would definitely have walked there (there's no pavement for a section of the way and didn't want to risk it with the dog). With half an hour of lots of other places to visit, we went to Barnstaple and walked part of the tarka trail and into Lynton and Lynmouth for a day trip.

Mariners Cottage, a beautiful two bedroom house

JulieRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We absolutely loved our stay at Mariners Cottage. It’s very cozy, and the decoration is beautifully chosen. The location is perfect — just steps from the seafront, and the town is so peaceful. Charlotte was a perfect host, always available to answer any questions. And we were welcomed with some lovely treats! A big thank you — it was perfect!

4 The Vista, Willingcott - Ecohome/On-site Pool

SarahRating, 5 stars11 months ago
The house is stunning, very modern and beautifully decorated. The beds are super comfy and the kitchen and bathrooms look brand new. Overlooks pretty countryside and on several occasions we saw deer and owls from the patio which was amazing! The heated outdoor pool on site is a welcome addition as this house doesn’t come with a hot tub (the neighbouring properties do btw), you can book slots to use it during your stay and we had the whole pool to ourselves. The site is around ten minutes drive to Woolacombe which is really handy. There’s also lots of other great beaches within a short drive. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.
