The rooms stands apart from the main house across a sunny courtyard. The Peddar's Way is nearby, as is Houghton Hall, Oxborough Hall and Holkham Hall amongst other attractions. Great woodland walks for dogs from the end of the garden. Dogs are welcome. 7Kw electric vehicle charger available at £10 cash per 5 hour charge.

Old Post Office Stable sits in the heart of a conservation area on the Norfolk/Suffolk border. Thorpe Abbotts is home to the 100th Bomber Group Museum. They say that the squaddies mailed their love letters back home at the Old Post Office ! 40 mins to the coast, Lowestoft, Gt Yarmouth, Southwold,, with shopping in Norwich, Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds. 10 mins drive from Diss train station with a direct line to London. The Norfolk Broads only 15 mins in the lovely market town of Beccles.

This is popular with open water swimmers and paddle boarders. Lynford Arboretum is also right outside your door and is ideal for bird watching with wildlife in abundance. Close to Bury St Edmunds and Diss, an ideal semi-rural base for exploring East Anglia and the cities of Norwich and Cambridge. Our comfortable and quiet cottage annexe provides a well-equipped place to stay for a self-catering short break or longer, with wi-fi included. The comfortable sitting room looks out onto the private garden where there is a small patio containing outdoor chairs and table. The ensuite bedroom (double-bed) has a vaulted ceiling and ample storage.

However, we do not accept infants or children.

Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and furry friends (pets).
