Quiet and feel-good place in the forest paradise of Straßenhof

Our cozy, light-flooded and modern apartment is located in the countryside exactly between Bamberg and Coburg - two very worthwhile cities in Franconia. Our farm is a real oasis of well-being surrounded by forest and extensive fields. Some lakes are also within walking distance. We have great hiking trails and bike tours in the Hassbergen. An absolute place to arrive and feel good and an ideal starting point for day trips, for example to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bamberg.

Modern holiday home in the heart of the Grabfeld

After I inherited the farm from my grandfather, one thing was clear to me, "this farm is not for sale." Thus, together with my parents, I completely renovated the farm and created a modern furnished vacation home. In his honor, it has become "DER HENKELHOF," where we would like to extend a warm welcome to you. By "we" I mean my parents Heri & Ilona and me. The moated castle is located on the outskirts of Irmelshausen, a typical Franconian village with church, half-timbered houses in the Rhön-Grabfeld eco-model region. The apartments are located in Irmelshausen Castle, a particularly historical ambience. In the castle park you can relax and enjoy the tranquility. Children can use the playhouse, sandbox, nest swing or slagline and trampoline to romp, the adults read a book on the daybeds.

Vacation home on the edge of a vacation home area. About 1 km from the nearest village of Sulzdorf. The Reuthsee is the largest natural lake in Lower Franconia (about 17 hectares) and is only about 100 meters away as the crow flies. Pure nature. Core removed by 2017 according to KfW standard and completely renovated with a lot of love for detail. Previously used as a weekend house and home office. We are new to Airbnb :) .

Our small hideaway is a renovated duplex architect's house from 1964 with an open gallery, freestanding bathtub, Swedish stove, large wooden terrace and wonderfully green garden. It is equipped with furniture made of natural materials, selected vintage pieces and ceramics. Our focus is on slow living and eco travel. The lake house is an owner-managed accommodation with a lot of love for detail.

Bundorf Castle Mill

Unser Ferienhaus ist eine über 200 Jahre alte ehemalige Wassermühle in der Hügellandschaft der fränkischen Hassberge. Wo früher das Mehl für den Gutsbetrieb des Bundorfer Schlosses gemahlen wurde, finden heute bis zu 12 Gäste Erholung auf 250 qm im eleganten Salon, der offenen Küche mit gemütlichem Frühstückszimmer und 6 Schlafzimmern. Vom eigenen Garten blickt man auf das Schloss und seinen Park.

The ideal starting point for hiking our own hiking trails, cycling, motorcycling, holding family celebrations, theater rehearsals and seminars or just relaxing.
