Beautiful, charming, quiet retreat

Beautiful garden walkway leads you to a newly renovated guest house, with spectacular views from all windows. Wood floors, travertine kitchen counters, full kitchen / frig. and viking stove. Bathroom with Italian glass tile bath/shower and antique vanity with carrera marble. All cotton linens with down pillows and duvet. Antiques through out, with a large walk in closet. The is a queen size Murphy bed in the living room, in addition to the queen size bed in the bedroom. We are located in the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains, with magnificent hiking trails within walking distance. Some say that our little get away is located in the best kept secret in LA. It's private, quiet and tranquil yet only 15 minutes from Pacific Coast Hwy in Malibu and 10 minutes from the 101 freeway.

The guest house has a private entrance, full kitchen, bath and french doors that open up to a private patio with a fountain. There is also a private deck for star gazing and afternoon naps. Perfect for hiking, biking, surfing, and relaxation. There are no streetlights or sidewalks. It is truly paradise.

Joel has an absolutely incredible place that needs to be seen to be fully appreciated. We were in awe of our surroundings outside, and felt so comfortable and at home in the inside space. Our only regret is not staying there longer!!!

I really enjoyed my stay at Bahareh’s corner, during my entire stay it was extremely quiet and peaceful. Even when inside the space there was a ton of natural light during the day that came through when the curtains were open, which I loved. Plenty of space and sitting arrangements inside the space as well, I had a Tesla so I found it very convenient that there was a Tesla charger where parking was. The parking was super easy to find and very accessible. I would absolutely recommend the space anyone needing a very comfortable and peaceful space not too far from shopping and restaurants.

I really can’t say enough about this magical place! First of all, I felt very safe traveling solo, the hosts were very attentive and helpful and I so appreciated all the touches of art, heated sheets, old-fashioned tub and more! You don’t wanna miss out on this magical gem tucked away in old growth cedar trees. I can’t wait to come back again .

This was our second time staying at Alice's place and we relished the peaceful atmosphere, the well-supplied kitchen, and the beautiful surroundings all over again--not to mention one of the nicest mattresses we've ever slept on and pillows to match. Alice had all sorts of wonderful recommendations and was very helpful when we unexpectedly found we needed to extend our stay. The place itself has beautiful rustic artwork and a sense of coziness that made us feel at home. We can hardly wait to be back!

The hospitality from both Catherine and Hugh was amazing. The home itself sits on the most beautiful property that highlights spectacular views, serene nature, and truly comfortable arrangements. The hosts were extremely helpful with anything needed as well as willing to offer assistance in finding the best sites and outings through Hugh’s guidebook. It was well worth the price and we hope to return soon.
