Great location and an easy walk along the coastal path. Beds really comfortable, great shower and well equipped kitchen. Restaurant downstairs and it is worth visiting or getting a takeaway. Not open very late but don't expect peace and quiet during active hours.

Thank you Becky for a lovely stay! We absolutely loved the location and everything about the cottage. The cottage was spotless and very cosy/comfortable. Becky was on hand to answer any questions we had and quick to respond. Overall we would highly recommend anyone to come here as the location is perfect, 5 minute walk into the town centre and close to the racecourse/station. We thoroughly enjoyed being able to see the racehorses and the relaxed atmosphere of staying by the stables and horses. Staying on a working stables was an experience we won’t forget. The little touches of artwork and pictures all added to the horse racing experience. Top quality The White Company bedding added to the luxury feeling of the property. Brilliant facilities and amazing shower! We loved our experience here and it made our race weekend! We can’t wait to come back.

my second stay Michael's place is a perfect, clean, comfortable and a great location check in is easy, which isn't always the case with some places, but the entry system at this place is great Michael is always helpful every time I've had to correspond with him, which always makes a difference the castle pub, literally 2 minutes walk, serves great food, definitely worth a try wouldn't hesitate going back

We're just home from a lovely stay at Daria's place in Southend. It was absolutely spotless when we arrived and beautifully decorated, you can tell alot of thought has gone in to every detail. You are very close to the main strip so you can hear the hustle and bustle if you're sitting in the garden (we enjoyed listening to it all!) but I can't say we noticed it that much when we went to bed. We had our one year old asleep in a cot in the room with us and he didn't stir at all so there you go! There's a Tesco express within walking distance for bits and bobs and you're so close to all the chippys and bars and the sea front. We will definitely be visiting again! Thanks Daria!

Well what to say ? Perfect We are working locally and some time just need the one room and this was it Spotless Warm And great for local amenities I always look for the best deals and location when away from home and this was a good one will def use again

We had a great stay. The flat was super, really clean with lovely furnishings. The secure off-road parking opposite the flat was brilliant bearing in mind you are in the centre of town. Definitely recommend this accommodation if you're looking to stay in BSE and we'd love to return in the future. Hosts were very responsive and provided good instructions and information.

As this was my first ever Airbnb, I didn't know what to expect. My experience of B and B places ( and owners) caused a preference to stay in hotels where an acceptable minimum standard could be taken for granted. However, my stay at The Little Thatch was a very pleasant experience, being on the edge of the village on a small quiet road, surrounded by open countryside. My stay was enhanced by the security and comfort provided by this small flat, particularly the very comfortable mattress provided in the upstairs bedroom which lulled me into a deep sleep. The attentive hosts, Beatrice Louisa and Rob were really helpful and certainly proactive in ensuring that I didn't experience any problems during my stay.

This was our first stay at the Hayloft, although we know Clare well, and I’m sure we’ll be back. Lovely private space and clever design - we particularly appreciated the spacious shower (and nice toiletries) and the excellent natural ventilation on a 30+ degree day/night. Ali was super-responsive and so friendly. Very kind touches like fresh juice and breakfast hamper - even wine. Thank you for a brilliant short visit.

A complete gem of an Airbnb and a delightful, helpful host in Fiona. The Annex is so spacious and comfortable. Fun days out exploring beautiful medieval local sites then back for drinks on the patio and a tasty supper from the amazing farm shop nearby. Our dog loved it too whizzing through the orchard fetching balls. We didn’t want to leave. Just fantastic.

Lovely 2 bed, ground level flat, tastefully decorated and clean. Really appreciated the toys left out for our toddler and books and games supplied. Well supplied kitchen with everything you need to cook for a family. Only small improvement that could be made would be the addition of a microwave, as there is room for one, it would have made warming milk more convenient. Quiet enough street and although parking off road wasn't possible we found spaces quite close, you just need to be good at a tight squeeze parallel park. Leigh on see town and beautiful belfairs park within walking distance and only 10 minute drive to Southend on see. Worked well for us to visit friends and was a lovely stay.

What a fantastic stay! Kim was very communicative in the booking and check in process. The flat was spotless on arrival and she had left lots of treats for the stay with coffee/tea/condiments/spices. It felt just like a home away from home. The location was fantastic for walking everywhere as it's so close to the train station. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could!

I had the pleasure of staying at Ryan’s Airbnb for 52 nights, and it was an outstanding experience. From start to finish, Ryan was an excellent host—responsive, accommodating, and always available to address any questions or concerns. The space itself was well-maintained, and in a great neighborhood. It was quiet, safe, and conveniently located near the places I needed to be, with easy access to the Elizabeth Line, making transportation effortless. Everything about the stay was seamless, and I felt completely at home. If you’re looking for a top-notch Airbnb with a fantastic host, this is the place. This is a lovely flat with everything you could want for a very comfortable stay. David and Lisa are quick to respond to any questions or requests and most accommodating. The flat is clean, charming and convenient to the beach, train station and shops.

We enjoyed a lovely stay in beautiful surroundings. Very clean and comfortable with added personal touches. The gin was delicious and we really enjoyed the bits provided for breakfast. Excellent communication from Sam and all questions answered within minutes. This is a place that is prepared for with extra care and has everything you need for a relaxing break.

I am a heavy travellers . I stayed so many places before. Hotels or flats. Aniesha’s flat is like a five star hotel suite! Very modern and stylish. The building is only 1.5years old. Very clean and the location is very convenient just in front of railway station and near supermarket and shopping center. Lots of restaurants nearby. It makes me feel like home. Thank you Aniesha! Just returned from a lovely 2 nights at Michaels place. As others have said the location is great as it's on the high street and only a few minutes to the lovely Frinton beach. Check in was easy and there is parking at the rear of the downstairs shop. It was really hot and Michael arranged a fan to try to cool us down, he was available for any queries we had, Michael and his partner were really accommodating hosts. The studio was really clean and is very pared back and stylish, would recommend for a trip to Frinton and would try to get to the downstairs weekend bar next time .

Chris & Hilary were wonderful hosts, they were very proactive and made sure we had every bit of detail about the property and its surroundings. The property is beautiful and clean and its located within short walking distance from the beach. We also loved the private park garden which was our pull factor to the property. Check-in and checkout process was very easy and straightforward. The Internet speed was great and the bed is very comfy. Me and my wife tried to think of any room for improvement to feedback to the hosts and we struggled to come up with anything. We definitely found our holiday home in Southend-on-Sea and we cant wait to stay there again. Thank you Chris & Hilary!
