Cabin holiday rentals in Cowichan Valley

Stunning scenery and magical views. House had firepit and hot tub for outdoors. Inside is well equipped. Lots of places to visit close by. Had a nice meal at the local pub. There is a general store but would advise stocking up before arrival. Would recommend staying.

Tesja's cottage was the perfect, peaceful getaway we were hoping for our mini honeymoon. The cottage was immaculately clean, and had everything we needed: a BBQ, private hot tub and the add-on firepit was a nice addition to our stay. Her homemade and curated breakfast selections that awaited us was the cherry on top. Surrounded by nature, birds, and occasional deer, Tesja's cottage gave us a chance to unplug, relax and enjoy everything Salt Spring had to offer: nature, and a short drive away from the Ganges. Communication before and during our stay was great. We wouldn't hesitate to return in the future when in need of peaceful staycation.

We stayed at Cusheon Lake Resort while on Saltspring for work. Glen met us to make sure that we had our orientation as we checked in. We stayed in cabin 2 and it was stunning - a beautiful space, comfortable, peaceful and with a beautiful view of the lake. One of us stayed on the sofa bed which was great for our needs. Having a kitchen available to us was also a big benefit to us as we worked long hours. It was such a treat to come back to a hot tub & sauna after a long day’s work. We also made use of the paddle boards for an early morning paddle. We loved our stay here and look forward to our next!

Dylan’s place was great! Perfect home base for work I was doing in the Port Renfrew area. Well-designed, super clean, and the hot tub was a nice touch. I’d definitely return!

We had a lovely stay at Najma’s log cabin. The location was great with the dock always in the late spring sunshine. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub after a cool dip in the lake. The cabin was spotless and we slept like logs in the comfortable beds! Thanks Najma!

The house was spotless, cozy, and equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. You can truly feel the care the hosts put into every detail to make guests feel at home. The hosts were incredibly friendly, flexible, and welcoming. They were always easy to reach, happy to answer questions, and made sure we felt comfortable from the very first moment. And the most magical part - deer roam freely around the property! You can literally watch them just a few steps away, grazing and wandering peacefully. Observing them up close was such a unique and calming experience. If you're looking for a quiet, comfortable, and truly special place to stay - this is it. Highly recommended! 🌿🦌

We had a lovely girls trip to Galiano and Alex’s cabin was just perfect for the three of us. Was even more beautiful in person, perfectly secluded, and in a convenient location to everything we wanted to do. Would give more than 5 stars if we could!

It was a perfect stay. Exactly as described, a super cute hut located on their family farm. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals at home. Julia was so lovely. Super friendly and available, but always respected our privacy. Great location, you are close to amenities yet it felt like you were in the middle of nowhere. Great location if you want easy access to Shawnigan lake, cobble hill, mill bay, Duncan, Chemanis, Ladysmith. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time staying here for 4 nights. Dog friendly, lots of grassy space and nice trails nearby to walk. We enjoyed how close we were to town while still having ample privacy at the house with the most stunning view. Comfy beds, super clean place with everything we needed. You will not regret staying here! We can’t wait to return.

This is a very amazing place! Many animals and goats are very different from those in other farms, very natural and curious to humans with a little afraid. I love them so so much! I only stayed for one night but I watched the animals for three times I LOVE THEM! The dogs are very cute too one very enthusiastic one very cold, both very polite to my dog love it! A PLACE WITH PEACE. Though sharing bathroom with others, but I think it doesn’t matter at all, a very good experience! My first time to use a real fireplace AMAZING!!!!!🤩

We had a great time at Port O’ Pierre and will return. The home is cozy and functional with a well appointed kitchen. My son enjoyed the choice of channels - cable and streaming. We enjoyed walking around the development and the nearby beach. The local grocery store and cafes are more than adequate. 👍

This was our third year in a row staying at Derek’s cabin on Beaver Lake, and we absolutely love it. The property is safe and enclosed, making it perfect for the kids to play freely. Access to the lake is fantastic, and it’s just minutes from the town center of Lake Cowichan. The cabin itself is cozy and inviting — the two-bedroom layout is ideal for a family of four. The backyard is especially magical at night around the fire pit. Derek has been incredibly accommodating, and communication has always been seamless. We’ll definitely be back next year!

Very clean and quiet. Host is very responsive. You will need a vehicle to travel from Ferry terminal to this place. Perfect location base for touring the islands with a vehicle.

Beautiful and peaceful place by the lake. I could sit at the patio for hours. Mandy's house felt like a home away from home. She was very responsive and left clear instructions of every house zone, which I really appreciate. If you're looking for a tranquility, it's your go to place.

A quaint nook nestled in a wooded lot overlooking the channel and gulf islands. Part of a greater property but nonetheless very private. Great for a couple or solo traveller wanting a peaceful getaway in nature. The cabin and bathroom bunkie were clean and well kept, the host Carol was helpful and responsive, and it is overall great value for money. I recommend highly!

Wonderful space for a weekend getaway. Close enough to all major attractions in Victoria, far enough in the countryside to be able to enjoy some privacy. Stephan was an excellent host, very proactive, prompt, and responsive. 10/10 will definitely recommend this location/host in the future!

This cabin is so cute! Has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The loft bed was amazing and I loved waking up and having a hot outdoor shower and coffee on the porch. Very quiet and relaxing spot. Would definitely come back!

A beautiful and serene stay at this adorable cottage. Lots of love and care have gone into ensuring a most pleasant stay. Just a short drive from Gagnes village for restaurants and local artisans galore. Host was always responsive when needed. Bed was super comfy and the heated bathroom floor was a delight during the cooler evenings. Would highly recommend this quaint stay!

I cannot say enough about how great Kevin and our stay was. Kevin responded quickly and was so accommodating to our last minute stay. The cabin itself was so comfy, with a great layout. We spent most of our time sitting on the deck watching the deer graze and frolic. Inside had everything you needed and more. The location was great, so close to everything but you felt like you were miles away with the peaceful surroundings. A beautiful gem!

This is a dream cabin, it’s wholesome and cozy. We loved the location and being right on the water with a dock and a deck. The sauna was easy to use and it heated up quickly. There is a farmers market within walking distance with live music. The cabin was everything we wanted for a weekend away. We hope to be back someday soon!

I would highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking for quiet, conveniently located spot in Chemainus. It was very clean and had everything I needed for my 2 month stay! Sharon was a wonderful host and also went above and beyond to help me during a snowstorm this past month. I will definitely be back!!
