We had a fantastic stay for a wedding nearby and Michael’s communication was excellent.

Wow what a beautiful place! We booked this for a special wedding anniversary to celebrate with our close family. The gift of a bottle of wine and a cake was such a lovely touch. Thank you so much. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mayflower. The young children loved seeing the ducks and wildlife come right up to the deck, and the adults loved the hot tub. The robes were a lovely touch too. We had no problem finding the Mayflower and the instructions for checking in and the online guidebook were very useful. There is so much to do on the doorstep if you can drag yourself away from the lodge. It was such a peaceful and magical place and somewhere I would love to return to.

Beautiful house perfect for family holidays. Loved lazy days out with kids on the kayaks & rowing boat! Would definitely recommend. Alex was a great host & very helpful. Will definitely be back again one day…

We had a very enjoyable stay with the family for a major birthday celebration. The accommodation and location are really lovely. The kayaks with life jackets were available. We had a few minor cleanliness issues which couldn't be resolved during our stay but we did receive modest compensation. One observation; the ladder style steps up to the mezzanine are very steep and not suitable for young children on their own and the beds up there are too small for fully grown adults or tall teenagers!. This is not addressed in the spec of the accommodation. We ate at a local restaurant, The Crown at Ampney Brook. Food and service exemplary.

Such a wonderful location with use of the lake for paddleboarding and sailing……. Property was brilliant and well presented. Kate was always on hand to answer any questions and very responsive. Would be more than happy to return again.

This air BnB exceeded all expectations! It is even more beautiful than the pictures and such a perfect location. We were a bridal party getting ready for a wedding and only wished we had longer to spend making most of the beautiful space, lake activities and hot tub! Communication was super and hosts were lovely and so helpful! Will definitely be back, thanks so much

Can't speak highly enough about the experience of staying in Sarah & Stuart's lovely house, which is very well located , in superb condition with excellent amenities. Sarah was incredibly helpful throughout - both prior to check in, during our stay and after. She was very responsive and always on hand for questions. We were a group of 4 adults and 4 children and the house was perfect and we hope to be back. Highly recommend!

Angela was a very welcoming host. Chocolate cake and provisions in the fridge on arrival! The cottage is full of character. We stayed in the cottage as a base for the Hay Festival and it was a very easy trip to go to and from there.

A real home from home.The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could need including tea, coffee and sugar and cooking essentials. The biscuits and fresh milk on arrival were thoughtful. The luxury toiletries were gorgeous and it felt like a hotel with the fluffy white towels and dressing gowns. Great quiet location with a private rear garden really fantastic for our two pooches and our Son to be free to play safely. The decor was really stylish and the whole feel of the cottage was welcoming. The provision of all the games and books kept everyone entertained and we slept well in the comfy beds. We recommend a visit to the Cotswolds water park for active families for kayaking, aqua venture and paddle boarding etc but it’s quite pricey ! For pub food we went to The Somerford Arms great atmosphere and only 5 minutes drive away. For your food shopping there is an Aldi or Waitrose 15 minutes drive away. Thanks again

Lovely stay in Janet’s cosy cottage. We loved the comfortable bedrooms, cute garden, wood fired pizza oven and the lovely park nearby. Janet was really responsive and helpful. Thanks for letting us stay in your lovely space Janet!

Lovely cottage

We were a family of 4 and really enjoyed our time at the Cottage. It felt very homely and we spent every evening sitting upstairs admiring the spectacular view or sitting in front of the fire playing the huge selection of board games that were in the house. Despite the inclement weather we did not have any issues driving to the cottage without a 4x4 and loved the quiet and secluded nature of the cottage. We did a lovely walk from the house to nearby Bala and then got the steam train back and then it was just a 10 minute walk up through some fields back to the cottage. Although there was no WiFi we had no issues with reception so kids were happy! Really friendly and responsive hosts. I would highly recommend this place.

Quietly located, comfortable home in a beautiful environment. Charles was kind, sent a message to ask if everything was okay and came to greet us personally.

Allison was so helpful and responsive! Staying here was delightful. The flat was authentic and cozy and she took great care of us! Greeting our stay with fresh roses and our leave with scrumptious cookies. The view is incredible in the terrace and the street so quaint! Stay here❤️

A girls night away in the cabins and we wanted to stay forever longer! When we arrived we were so shocked by how stunning it was, so quiet with only the sound of the river and the most stylish cabins and good sized hot tub. It had everything we could've needed and a very high tech air fryer. Anthony was very responsive and friendly and came out in the evening to fix a lightbulb for us. The hot tub was beautifully clean and a lovely temperature. I have sent links to all my friends and family because you must see this place! Thank you so much, and we will be back! Xx

We will definitely be returning. It was the best lodge we've stayed in, in particular the garden space that was private and spacious. It was totally secure which was perfect for our dog. The Lodge was really spacious and had everything you need for a trip away. The kitchen had everything you need including a full size fridge freezer. The only negative will be the pillows, i must of got about 2 hours sleep during the night because of them. I really think investing in some proper quality pillows will go a long way, especially when they would easily last half a year minimum before needing to be replaced. But this is honestly the only negative thing about the place.

We had a wonderful stay at the lodge, it was spotlessly clean, and very well equipped, it had everything you needed, really comfy, home from home! Jeff and Sue were great hosts, they left a hamper with goodies, and a bottle of milk in fridge,which was very much appreciated - we have stayed at quite a few lodges on this site, this has been the best by far!! Thanks Jeff and Sue, we will be back

What an amazing place to spend a lovely few days to celebrate a special birthday! Charlotte is a fabulous host and was more than happy to answer any questions we had.  We were provided with clear directions to guide us right to the lodge, and there was lots of very helpful information about the lodge, the surrounding area and attractions. On our arrival the lodge was immaculately presented and well equipped with everything we could possibly need. The lodge was very spacious and comfortably accommodated 7 adults and our Border Collie. It felt welcoming and homely, and Charlotte had put a lot of care and attention into preparing the lodge ready for our stay. My family and I were blown away by the  stunning views of the lake, and the hot tub was a bonus. We even had a visit from a family of swans who were keen to show off their beautiful baby cygnet. Thank you for letting us have the pleasure in staying at your fabulous Lodge. We will certainly be back, hopefully soon!

What a relaxing, beautifully appointed and tastefully accessorised lodge. We had everything that we possibly could need and the lodge was clean throughout. Additional garden was a bonus had the weather been better. We will definitely consider booking again in the future. Thanks Alma.

This is our third time staying here. The location of the lodge on the lake is just stunning, right on the lake with lots of privacy. The quality of the interior is to a very high standard and Mark ensures the place is well stocked including those extra touches like duck food and binoculars to watch the birds. There is stuff to do for all ages and weather.

Don’t know where to start….stunning location, stayed Saturday to Wednesday, weekdays were so so quiet and peaceful, perfect for some much needed R&R. Caravan was exactly as described, light and airy, spotlessly clean, comfortable lounge area, well equipped kitchen, shower was easy to use and more powerful than most other places I’ve stayed, my husband and myself and 2 friends enjoyed every minute and will most definitely be returning in the near future. Kate was very helpful from start to finish and always asked if everything was ok? Everything was more than ok, highly recommend this accommodation, thank you Kate, so much, for a lovely stay

We absolutely loved our stay at Sian’s place!! Although we didn’t get to see our host much as we kept missing each other, she was super friendly and extremely helpful. The caravan was wonderful and in the most incredible setting with stunning views. My 9 year old daughter wants to add that she was thrilled with the animals and amazing stay! We truly had a fantastic stay. Thank you so much!!!
