Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Douglas County

The hosts went out of their way to provide accommodations for families. They even had a gate for the stairs which came in very handy. All the supplies, linens and paper goods were plentiful and good quality. The decor was very cute and well placed. Having been in several Airbnb that have minimal everything, this was so appreciated. Be aware that one of the bathrooms is downstairs. It is nicely done but a bit of a walk from the bedrooms.

We stayed here for a bachelorette weekend and it couldn’t have been more perfect! The place was so cute and cozy and was exceptionally clean! You’re close to great food and fun while also being one with nature! Jeremy and Sandra were great hosts and super helpful! Would absolutely recommend this place. Thank you!!

Great place! Perfect for the four of us who were up fishing for the weekend. Having the garage available to put all of our fishing stuff into dry out and keep the mess out of the house was really nice. Everything we needed for a relaxing weekend.

Five friends had a great stay at The Trailhouse. We spent time at an event in Duluth, then explored Duluth and visited the lake. The house was a convenient drive to everything we wanted to do. Matthew was very responsive if we had questions. Everything was clean. Big functional kitchen, open to the dining and living room. Take the scenic drive from I35 on 210, if you can. It was beautiful.

Very nice place. Super spacious main floor. Right next to water. We went for walks on waterfront park each night. Bridge over the road is two blocks down. Also played board games each night. House is about 2 miles from main peninsula where the ship bridge is. Slept well although bed and pillows not my preference. Recommend this place for sure.

The best thing about this house is the view! We constantly looked down the hill to Lake Superior and watched ships go under the lift bridge. The house was perfect for our 10 family members. It was extremely clean, well stocked and well-designed. There is a large parking lot for multiple cars and a huge yard where we had a family baseball game. In the mornings we had coffee on the wrap around deck where there were lots of chairs. We attended a wedding down on Park Point and it only took us 10 minutes to get there (although we reminded each other allow extra time in case the lift bridge went up). We had a wonderful time and this was the perfect place for us to stay and have fun. We all agreed that we would all stay at this place again. Thanks, Amanda!

Amanda’s house is a perfect getaway. It is the best stocked rental that I have stayed in with the most well thought out amenities. Beautiful screened in porch and fun games to play in the yard. Very close to many cute towns, Lake Superior, nice beaches, restaurants, parks, trails and the Brule River. My family had a great time fly fishing, kayaking, hiking and splashing in Lake Superior and the Brule River. We made wonderful meals in the awesomely equipped kitchen. So much room for everybody - 8 adults and 3 children! Highly recommend for a relaxing get away.

I had a great stay at Deena’s place! It was very clean, comfortable, and affordable. The space had everything I needed, and Deena was responsive and helpful throughout. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy, well-kept spot.

We had the best time at Tabitha’s! Everything was beautiful! We look forward to coming back on our next trip!

Very lovely space. Would like to return for a longer time to enjoy the space. Quick run to site see along Lake Superior so was not able to enjoy it to the full. The beds and pillows were so very comfortable. Everything you need in the house. Definitely would recommend staying here

What a great find for an incredible price! Our room was totally remodeled and like brand new. It was just beautiful! Super comfy bed, softest bath towel I have ever had, great shampoos and soaps, great decor, nice little extra touches here and there. We loved our private little balcony where we sat with our coffee and could see the water and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We will definitely be back!

The place was great. It was easy to check in. The place has everything you would need. We used the bonfire pit, easy clean up with provided shovels. Stayed with a 2 yo. Would definitely stay here again.

Place was just as it was advertised. Would be nice to have a bigger bed or two beds. Other than that, place was great.

Incredible location right over the lift bridge. Easy to get to and find. Central to restaurants and breweries and quick drives to multiple state parks. Great spot

I loved this place! It was exactly as advertised with solid amenities and no clutter getting in my way. The location was great and it was very peaceful there. There was sound from the homeowners above, but only comforting homey sounds. I enjoyed watching the deer out the windows. The small kitchen was well organized and easy to cook and clean up. Overall a great place to stay. I definitely recommend.

Tia is terrific. we've stayed at this location the past four years now, and anytime we have a question or need something, Tia answers within minutes. The cottage is cozy and has everything you need.

Greg is an amazing host and the property was exactly as pictured! Immaculately cleaned and magazine worthy!! We had one tiny issue (malfunction of door lock) and Greg personally called within minutes to help us! If anything, this made me even happier about the property and host. 5 star review, would highly recommend! The property is very private and full of nature. When we drove up there were deer and turkeys in the yard to greet us ❤️

This cabin was a perfect location between visiting Pattison/Amicon State Parks and the Bayfield area. The cabin was clean and extremely cozy. And it was pet friendly to be able to bring our lab with exploring all this area has to offer!

we loved staying at this cabin for 2nights with our girls! it was clean and cozy and quiet compared to our city life. had all the basic amenities needed to cook meals. they were very accommodating and quick to reply when we had questions. they were so friendly and kind! wifi/data was spotty but that was kind of nice. 1 hour from duluth which is where we spent a day. they had padleboats and kayaks and helped us get out on them. thanks for a great time!

Had a great stay. Really enjoyed kayaking, reading by the water, and grilling. Tammy and John left us with a bottle of wine which was a really sweet gesture. Would not advise booking this place to be near Duluth (about a 40 minute drive) like we did, as we did not get to spend as much time enjoying the cabin as we would have liked. Hoping to vacation here again in the near future in order to fully enjoy all the cabin has to offer!

The cabin was GORGEOUS! It was a perfect get away for a long weekend! Elizabeth was fantastic, she was so helpful with local recommendations and was an amazing host! E.g., I had asked her if there was a blender at the cabin — there wasn’t there originally but she brought a blender over before we arrived to make sure we had one during our stay! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We definitely will be booking again!

Great quiet place to get away with family and enjoy the water and nature. Home fit my family of 6 comfortably and David was great with communication and responding quickly with any questions we had. Would definitely return when needing to escape the city.
