Family-friendly holiday rentals in Downtown, Anchorage

Simon's place is such a gem and Simon is a wonderful host. We love staying there and walking right up to the ski lift!

This house was a wonderful place to spend a ski vacation at Alyeska. The kitchen was very well furnished and thoughtful things like a bluetooth speaker, dual washer/dryer, and boot dryer were included. The house is also the perfect location for apres ski to enjoy the high end hot tub and barrel sauna. The ski resort is any easy 4 minute drive with plenty of parking. A fun twist on skiing, the resort does not open until 10am, so we enjoyed many relaxing mornings with several pots of coffee before heading out. The Girdwood famous Double Musky Inn restaurant(great for steaks and deserts) is an easy 10 minute walk. There is a recreation path on the mtn road, so you could even bike to the resort if you wanted to. Be sure to stock up on groceries in Anchorage before heading to Girdwood as the town is small and does not have a full sized grocery.

We had a wonderful stay here! It was very comfortable for our group of 11. Wendy was a very responsive host. Would definitely recommend staying here for a big gathering of friends and/ or family!

Our stay at Caroline's place was wonderful. Caroline was communicative, provided things to do in the area and was flexible. She even worked with us on our check out because we had unique needs. Honestly, one of the best hosts we've had using AirBNB. She also helped the previous guests obtain their forgotten teddy bear while I was visiting. The cabin was clean, in a quietish neighborhood, and just want we needed during our stay in Girdwood. Everything was great from the Alaskan food items in the fridge on arrival to the bear safety items and educational materials. I hope to be back in the area and would love to stay at Caroline's again.

We loved our stay at Carriage House! We felt surrounded by nature on a beautiful property, but a short walk across a nearby bridge got us into town within minutes!

The townhouse was great! The townhouse super nice and conveniently located by walking trails. Easy checkin, comfy bed, and a nice view of Campbell creek. Thanks Jason!

The place was calming, easy to get to. Enough away from high traffic areas to not feel stressed but close enough to do anything we desired. Sasha was very friendly and helpful. If available will definitely be staying in future. Thank you Sasha for sharing with us.

Spacious place to stay, near nice trails

We had a great stay! The host (Ken/Stephanie) was very responsive and helpful—when we messaged them late at night about an issue, they replied quickly. Overall the stay was enjoyable, nice quite place, ready clean house with 4 Bed / 2 Baths , overlooking the mountains and the positive experiences we had outweighed the issue. Another highlight was the friendly neighborhood. The neighbors were so kind—they even lent us hiking gear, which was a pleasant surprise! Overall, the positive experiences far outweighed the issue we encountered which was solved by Host. I would definitely recommend this place—it's not too far from downtown, offers a quiet environment, and again hosts very responsive and caring.

Great location. Easy access. Quiet Neighborhood. Wonderful host. Easy going family. 2 parking spots in driveway. Lit pathway at night to back of house entrance. Additional beds & bedding if needed. Nice remodel, well laid out floor plan. Would definitely stay here again, especially when needing a month stay in Anchorage!

John place was just as described, we felt right at home. John is a nice host and responded right away. Location was great in the middle of town close to a lot of places that we went to. I would definitely stay again.

What a great stay! Easy to get down to Seward, out to the valley, and back to the airport. Quick ride to downtown. Easy peasy and such a comfortable spot. 10/10 would recommend!

Amy's Airbnb was exactly as described. The bed was very comfortable and the location peaceful and quiet yet only 20 minutes to downtown Anchorage. I arrived late so I was so happy that she provided coffee and creamer so I could have coffee in the morning. Of all the Airbnbs that I have stayed in all over the world, Amy's home has the best view! When you look out the front windows you can see the inlet and mountains in the distance. I took a tons of great pictures! Amy was always very responsive whenever I had any questions. I highly recommend this Airbnb and wouldn't hesitate to book another stay on my next trip to Anchorage.

A great little spot close to downtown Anchorage! The space was clean and tidy. Sauna and pool table were really fun additions! For more than two people the space is a bit tight considering the bathroom is only accessible through the one bedroom, but we made it work just fine! For just two travelers it’s a perfect little pad though!
