Brand new house and everything, it's great!The environment is quiet too.A great place to stay in the house to enjoy the natural serenity and definitely a great place to heal.

- [ ] My family and I had a wonderful New Years celebration at Mevan’s cottage. There were 8 of us plus our dogs and we can confidently say we found absolutely everything we needed during our stay. From wine glasses to two fully functional fridges/freezers, Mevan has put a lot thought on making sure the cottage is well equipped for large groups. We were happy to see the house was decorated for Christmas as it made our winter holiday getaway even more special. The house has a beautiful design with large windows and tons of natural light, it was magical to watch the snow fall through those beautiful floor to ceiling windows. Mevan was quick to respond to our messages and he proactively reached out to us with updates. This cottage is elegant, homey and functional, we can’t wait to go back. The cottage is well located, it’s just a short 2 minute walk to the beach and there are grocery stores, a pharmacy and a nice bakery nearby.

We had an absolutely magical stay at this lakeside cottage! The attention to detail in the space was remarkable, with every corner thoughtfully designed for comfort and relaxation. The kitchen was well-stocked, making it a joy to cook meals, and the wood-burning fireplace added the perfect cozy touch for our winter evenings. The views were breathtaking—each window felt like looking at a postcard, with stunning vistas of the lake and surrounding nature. Laura's hospitality truly stood out; she went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed for a memorable stay. The location is unbeatable. Being just a short drive to Algonquin Park allowed us to enjoy some fantastic hikes with our dog and we loved returning to the peaceful setting of the cottage afterward. This cottage is a gem, and we can't wait to return. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a serene getaway or a cozy work-from-home option.

Quiet location overlooking a stunning lake which we managed to have a swim in (end of May) . Bed super comfy . Sofa bed ok . Car needed to get to restaurants etc but good cooking facilities as an option. Highly recommend a trip to Algonquin park and delighted to spot a moose !
