Kid-friendly holiday rentals in East Lyme

Jim’s place was great, with plenty to see in the area. We ended up spending most of the time enjoying the little beach and kayaks. Very cute house with plenty of room and we’ll stocked kitchen. The grill made for a perfect Labor Day cookout looking out at the water. Would stay again.

The perfect place in the perfect location. Looked just like-if not better than- the photos. Plenty of room for my family and I. Cute and safe neighborhood to walk in, close to a lot of restaurants and the beach! Anything you need is available to you in and outside of this lovely home! Next time we’re in the area we’ll be sure to book again.

We loved our night and found it extremely relaxing. Our hosts did everything they could to make our stay the best it could possibly be. Would definitely recommend!

A Perfect Family Getaway! We had a fantastic week with our children and grandkids! The house was just three homes away from a private beach, making it incredibly convenient for beach days. The neighborhood was peaceful, walkable, and full of super friendly people. One of our favorite local spots was Black Point Market—absolutely adorable! The owner and staff were so welcoming. They serve amazing grilled breakfast sandwiches, fresh lunches, scoop ice cream, baked goods, candy, sodas, beer, and all the essentials you might need. Downtown Niantic was another highlight, with its scenic boardwalk, charming shops, great restaurants, and plenty of ice cream options for the kids (and adults!). We also took a couple of day trips to Mystic Aquarium and the Mystic Seaport Museum—both were fun, educational, and memorable for the whole family. And don’t miss Vincitori Apizza in Niantic! Can’t say enough good things about Craig and this cottage. 1. Craig is an incredibly responsive and helpful host. Couldn’t ask for more. 2. The cottage might look small but it’s so well-laid out that it feels bigger than it is. Great for two couples. Works to add older (non toddler) kids. Loved the loooong sofa in the living room. Bedrooms are small but private from each other, separated by the compact bathroom which has an astonishing amount of hot water. Dining area and kitchen are right next to each other. Kitchen layout is a bit quirky but has everything. 3. Some details that might be overlooked include - zoned AC (one in each bedroom and one in the LR - ceiling fans in every room - thoughtfully placed remotes that you don’t have to search for - study in the front porch with a monitor and sit-stand desk - strong WiFi - fast ice maker (Craig thoughtfully put a basket in the freezer to hold an extra ice) - really good whole bean coffee Would stay again!

We had a blast here. Comfortable beds, walking distance to so many restaurants, very clean, and a nice yard. I’d recommend this BnB to anyone.

I can’t say enough good things about our stay at Holly’s place! We were traveling with 2 adults, an 18 year old and significant other and 2 teenagers and the amount of space was perfect! Everyone had room to spread out. The apartment had all the things you love about old homes, but all the updates that make life easier. The homemade banana bread that Holly left for us was such a personal touch and it was delicious. Erica greeted us with a warm welcome even though we arrived well past midnight. My daughter enjoyed reading in the cozy sitting area by the window. It was fun to watch the Hallmark movie that was filmed there. We fast forwarded the cheesy parts and enjoyed seeing the house in the movie. The area is peaceful and quaint. There’s a Dunkin about 5 minutes away, too which made our early mornings a little easier. Highly recommend if you’re traveling with a family!

Wow!!! This is the nicest airbnb I have ever stayed in. The property is beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by trees with lots of privacy. The cottage itself is immaculate (I’m very particular about cleanliness). The dining area is stunning with skylights and beautiful trees outside and great light! The hosts were also so welcoming and friendly, they included so many nice touches for my baby including a pack and play/travel crib, diaper changing area, and toys! I hope to stay here again every time we come to this area!

We booked this place to be close the the festival downtown and it was. 1.3 miles or 25 minutes walk. Perfect for us. The Airbnb was clean and spacious. Shower is a little small but ok. King bed is very comfortable. Yummy welcome treats on the table was a nice touch. Keurig pods and maker available for your pleasure. Well lit and very secure. Felt safe at all times. Great place to book if you need to stay in this area.

Great space, lovely view, and nice amenities. Very close to everything. If you're a very light sleeper, the train may bother you since it starts at 6am - but we had a toddler, so he was fascinated. I would recommend it!

Wonderful stay in the center of a charming town. Apartment is tastefully decorated. Bed is super comfy. Host responsive and helpful. Overall A+ stay.

Place was very nice and as described! It even felt more spacious than the pictures showed. You could definitely hear neighbors/people outside talking but that's to be expected. Putting on white noise at night worked perfectly to drown out any voices so it really wasn't an issue.

Harper House was absolutely beautiful! It is in the perfect spot in mystic to walk to pretty much everything! We walked to dinner and lunch everyday as well as the shops. Food is great in this area and the hosts left us some great recommendations. Highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in mystic!

The Villa was exactly as described! Easy communication with owner. A perfect getaway weekend, every amenity we could want or need! Look forward to visiting again in the near future!
