The town of Wehlen is located in the Upper Elbe Valley in the heart of Saxon Switzerland National Park. The tranquil health resort looks back on almost 800 years of history. The market house is a historic gem and is a listed building, designated as the first hostel of Saxon Switzerland. The house frames the market square in the reflection of the market church below the historic castle ruin. The vaulted cellars date back to 1527, while the main house was built in 1734 in the Franconian half-timbered style.

Located in the town center, directly opposite the park, it combines a peaceful setting with convenient access to the main attractions. Accommodation Description Bedrooms: Two separate bedrooms with comfortable double beds (180×200 cm and 160×200 cm). Living Room: Spacious living room with a sofa bed (140×200 cm). Pets are welcome for an additional fee of €10/night.

The apartment on the top floor is truly unique. It is located on the second floor and and the entire place has been restored to original building. The original roof wooden frame, exposed brickwork, original flooring, fully functional wooden stove helps you to imagine what people lived like at the beginning of last century. The main living area is facing the front of the house and therefor you will find a view on the town square, town house and the famous basalt rock “Jehla”.

A comfortable and family-friendly apartment awaits you with a kitchen-living room, bedroom, shower and toilet. The apartment can accommodate 2 people. In addition, there are 2 additional bedding options. A travel cot for toddlers is available. The rooms are painted with natural colours and the wooden floors are treated with natural wax and are therefore particularly suitable for allergy sufferers. Pets are allowed on request.
