City of Wehlen Markthaus - Vacation rental - Apartment

The Markthaus is a historic gem and is a listed building, designated as the first hostel in Saxon Switzerland. The house frames the market square in the reflection of the market church below the castle ruin on the romantic Malerweg. The vaulted cellar and foundation walls date back to 1527. The main house was built in 1734 and operated as a rest stop, post office and inn. In 1850, a massive extension was built in the classicist style. Röhringer ran the Hotel Sächsische Schweiz here.

The apartment on the top floor is truly unique. It is located on the second floor and and the entire place has been restored to original building. The original roof wooden frame, exposed brickwork, original flooring, fully functional wooden stove helps you to imagine what people lived like at the beginning of last century. The main living area is facing the front of the house and therefor you will find a view on the town square, town house and the famous basalt rock “Jehla”.

- At the beginning of 2024, we renovated and cozily designed for our guests - Our approx. 40 m² non-smoking apartment is for 2-3 people. - It has a separate entrance and a quiet sun terrace. - In the large living / sleeping room there is a large double bed, a sofa bed, a large armchair and satellite TV. - The small modern kitchenette offers all possibilities of self-catering. - The bathroom is equipped with glass shower, underfloor heating and hair dryer.

A comfortable and family-friendly apartment awaits you with a kitchen-living room, bedroom, shower and toilet. The apartment can accommodate 2 people. In addition, there are 2 additional bedding options. A travel cot for toddlers is available. The rooms are painted with natural colours and the wooden floors are treated with natural wax and are therefore particularly suitable for allergy sufferers. Pets are allowed on request. K dispozici 2 apartmány o celkovém počtu 5 lůžek (možno rozšířit kapacitu na 10 osob) Oba apartmány jsou po celkové rekonstrukci- vybaveny stylovým dřevěným nábytkem. Mají vlastní koupelnu, WC a plně vybavenou kuchyň. V každém apartmánu je TV a trezor. Oba apartmány mají společenskou místnost. V pokojích i ve společenské místnosti je kouření zakázáno.
