Charming Secluded Guest Suite near Woodland Park

This secluded and very quiet, 370 sq ft in home apartment, space is nestled in the trees with a territorial view to the southwest. If you have an appreciation for hand crafted details this is the place for you: hand made windows, a bed frame made from salvaged fir bleacher seats, owner designed light fixtures, and traditionally crafted woodworking details throughout. The Chestnut stays cool in the summer and cozy in the winter with its heated concrete floors. Open all twelve windows south and west and you might think you’re in a treehouse. This space is thoughtfully designed as a restful retreat after a long day of exploring or hectic day of business travel. If you like to cook, the kitchen is complete with a gas range, a full size electric oven, microwave, under counter refrigerator/ freezer, farm style sink, and all the needed utensils. The Chestnut has its own secure entrance and private patio. It is accessible by stairs only. I am here and happy to help. Perched on the hilltop above the historic business district, the Chestnut provides easy access to Fremont neighborhood and many delicious restaurants and local shops. Look for the many public art pieces nearby or walk along the gorgeous ship canal. There are plenty of food options within walking distance and a number of buses that will easily take you downtown, east to the University district, west to Ballard, and north to greater North Seattle.

Awesome Apt. Near Seattle Center & Amazon Campus.

Near Seattle Center (see events, section below). Amazon, Key Arena, Gates Foundation & Chihuly Glass Museum are at the bottom of the hill. We're at the top facing south near the primary view lookout. Space Needle, Seattle skyline, Mount Rainier, Sunrise & Sunset views nearby. Atop a private home in a quiet neighborhood with a very good walk score. Many restaurants (some among the most highly rated) & coffee shops withinin short walking distance. Downtown (15min) bus stop is one short block away.

Vibrant studio guest house. Every comfort was thought of as this studio was designed (and used primarily for) visiting family. This studio offers 2 queen beds (one in a bedroom that can be sectioned off with a curtain and one as a pull out sofa in the media area), a gorgeous bath with a separate sink/vanity space, a pull down desk work space and a full kitchen with an eat- in bar that seats 3. Karen was a fantastic host! Thanks to her care, I had the most comfortable stay I’ve had at any Airbnb to date. Prior to my stay, I asked Karen if she knew of any local hiking groups as my goal was to do a nearby hike. She replied with a full list of personalized recommendations that included both local hiking groups and hikes. She even researched and shared info on a hike hosted by a group for the exact day I hoped to hike. The space itself was thoughtfully equipped, charmingly decorated, and stunningly clean. Everything I needed (and more!) was available in a convenient location. The bedroom had blackout curtains, so I slept very well. Karen even messaged to ask if I was cold, and to remind me that there were extra blankets in the closet. I only got to meet Karen briefly as I was mostly out, but she is a generous, eco-conscious, and seasoned traveller who is fun to talk to. Her cat is adorable and calm. It was a delight to meet them both and stay in their beautiful home!

My husband and I stayed here for our first time to Seattle. We loved the Airbnb, it was cozy and perfect to come back to every night. It was clean and just the right size for the two of us. The bed was very comfortable. We had wine up in the rooftop several nights and LOVED the view. Jennifer was very nice and always responded quickly. We were able to drop our bags off from the airport a bit before check in that way we could go explore without our bags. We really appreciated that.

We stayed at Julie’s place to kickstart our mother-daughter Alaskan cruise vacation. Julie truly went ABOVE and BEYOND to make this Airbnb a home away from home. Every single detail was well thought of, upscale, and peaceful. We enjoyed the upstairs patio as well. I stay in tons of Airbnbs and Julie’s has so far been my favorite. She and her husband also are so kind, they helped us with our luggage & even came out to chat with us while we were having a glass of wine on the porch. We truly had the best night. I will be back & I will be referring her to many friends and family who will be traveling to Seattle.

Overall, this was a good stay! We were traveling from out of state, and Tuan’s place was a good home base for a couple of nights. Transportation from the airport was easy, check-in was smooth, and it was within 20 minutes of all of the things we wanted to see/do. The bed was very comfortable, and while there is some noise outside (busy street), it is nothing out of the ordinary for a major city. Tuan was both responsive and helpful. My only wish was that the water pressure in the shower was a bit better. I would stay here again if visiting Seattle again!
