The skiing and hiking areas in the Thuringian Forest (Oberhof with international competition venues and Schmiedefeld) are easily accessible by car in 20-30 minutes as well as by public transport.

If you want to enjoy absolute peace, this is the place to be! Hiking trails, bike trails, and various attractions are very close. Our house is located in Rüdenschwinden in one of the most beautiful low mountain ranges in Germany. Rüdenschwinden is a small, charming village not far from the Schwarzes Moor and Fladungen. The vacation home is detached and surrounded by a 600 square meter, fully fenced garden. Here everyone will find a place to relax, play or linger. Dogs are also welcome. The property has a car parking space. From the two balconies you can enjoy a scenic view.

The 125-year-old farmhouse is located at about 500 m in a very quiet location in the middle of the Rhön Biosphere Reserve, an ideal starting point for hiking, biking and enjoying nature. The house can accommodate up to 8 people, and it can also be comfortably furnished for 2. The house is fully equipped. Network cables in all rooms, very good Wi-Fi on each floor, desks in each room and a large attic also allow very good remote working.

Our aim is to welcome guests with a dog as well as the ones without into a friendly, cosy atmosphere. The appartment is at the edge of Oberelsbach - ideally for hikes. Basic shopping is possible and there is a nice café, a gas station and a pharmacy. Hiking and Cycling trails start directly from the house. But also there are bus lines which opperate in different directions as well as right into the heart of the hiking area.

The stream, right under the balcony, gives this apartment the touch of a small Rhön Venice, which also gave the apartment its name "Rhönedig."
