Holiday houses in Georgioupoli

This is the best Airbnb we’ve stayed in, like a 5 star hotel. The villa is beautiful and luxurious. Everything is new and works. Christina the host is amazing, very helpful. Each room has a well sized bathroom with a great shower. A breakfast basket was left outside at 8:30 am each morning - delicious! The kitchen is spotless and has all the tools you’ll need. There’s a BBQ. The villa was cleaned midway and the cleaners did a great job. It is quiet and secure. We slept well. The outside space is stunning. The pool is a constant 1.5 metre depth so perhaps not suitable for very young children. The local village is small and very friendly. There’s a great shop 10 minutes walk away, and next to that is a good restaurant (taverna). You definitely need a car here but I’d recommend you have a car anyway to explore Crete. The coastal town of Almyrida is 10 mins drive away with restaurants and shops. Chania and Rethymno are approx 45 mins drive away. Both have lovely old towns.

Staying at Georgoshouse was the most beautiful part of our trip through Crete. The family made us feel right at home and took great care of us without being overbearing. The surroundings are gorgeous. This place is definitely worth a visit - or two!

Without doubt THE BEST place we've ever been on holiday ❤️. The location is just perfect if you're looking for an 'off grid' place. The mountain views are outstanding and only interrupted by the sound of the mountain goats bells which are wonderfully melodic!. The hosts were wonderful providing us with a homemade Moussaka for our arrival 👌delivering fresh eggs from their hens later in the week. Google Maps brings you right to the villa and a small hire car can make it just take your time on the windy bits! If you're a cat lover you're in for a treat as there are a few beautiful young cats to feed (food provided by owners). Pool fabulous accommodation perfect. We are already booking for next year! 💯 the perfect place to wind down and recharge away from everything we couldn't recommend enough! ps Nikolaos was super helpful when we needed support on getting a flat tyre replaced 👌

We loved staying at Mansio in Rethymno. It was right in old town just steps from restaurants but on a quiet street. We had a rental car and they offered free parking in a local lot a short walk away. Check in was easy. There was a staffed desk so someone available to answer all questions and they were extremely friendly. The breakfast was wonderful and the seating area to eat was beautiful. The back of the building was a park always full of families and a school. We loved watching local families enjoy their town. We even got to see a concert event with area children singing. There is some noise from the park, but it did not bother us. If you are looking for absolute quiet you should look towards the edge of town instead.

Firstly, ahuge thank you to George and Christina for letting us stay at their wonderful Property. As hosts they were absolutely wonderful and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived until we left . Christina is so lovely and showed us round the property how to use everything and seemed that absolutely nothing would be to much trouble if we needed anything at all. We have stayed in some wonderful properties all over Europe, Australia, Japan, and Morocco . This is definitely one of our favourite Airbnb‘s we have used. Firstly, the property is exactly as described. The photos are a mirror image of what you will see hen you arrive. One of the best things about the property is how homely it feels and the house has everything you need. My boys loved the basketball & pool the outside movie projector tops it off. If you are looking for the perfect location in Crete , look no further . 10:10 if not more . Ollie/emna X

Book this! Amalen Suites (only 5 for the entire property) is in the perfect spot! Close to everything but at night quiet and extremely secure! My favorite part of my stay was the staff that ran Amalen! Thank you so much Maria, Jakob, Tolis, and Josie!!! Everyone was so so so kind and gave amazing recommendations for my stay. The breakfast served every morning was phenomenal as well!!! Oh and! My all time favorite products are used at this location (Olive Era) so I was able to buy some bottles to take home too. And because I was traveling alone they checked in with me everyday and made sure I was safe during my stay which means a lot! I truly had an amazing time at this hotel and highly highly HIGHLY RECOMMEND for couples that are traveling through Crete. The city in which Amalen is located is large and can be tough to find parking all of the time so I also did love that this was close to many restaurants, shops, IG worthy cute alleys and a 2 minute walk to the ocean. Thank you!!

House is utterly charming and authentically Greek village style atmosphere. Private entry courtyard is lovely with garden. Felt very at home and cozy with everything I needed. And so close to town! Dimitrios was very helpful. Even had yoga mat!

Little to say, nice apartment with all possible and imaginable amenities, beautiful pool and terrace with a view, a shame we only spent one night there
