Historically Gilleleje is an old fishing village and it was here that many Jews were transported to Sweden during World War II. Gilleleje Church was a waiting place for Jews until they could be transported. In 1943, 75 Jews were caught by the Gestapo on the church ceiling after a snitch had informed the Germans. Everywhere there are monuments of historical events. Every year there are various festivals in Gilleleje - "Hill" Festival, Harbour Festival, Jazz at the port and The Herring Day. Gilbjergstien B&B A lovely, bright cottage on Gilbjergstien with beautiful views of Kattegat, The Sound and Kullen. The cottage is set back in an old garden and has its own sunny veranda and terrace. In addition, you will have your own exit to Gilbjergstien, with direct access to the city and hiking trails along the sea. Leave your car. You won't need it anymore. The cottage is in walking distance to everything in Gilleleje. Enjoy the quiet evenings and watch the big ships sail by.

One bedroom has a double bed, the other (small room) has bunk beds. In connection with the covered terrace is an annex with 2 beds. 5 min. walk to stairs down to the swimming bridge (110 steps), 10-15 min. Walk to sandy beach and 25 minutes to the city center/harbor There are 4 bicycles that can be used.

Small wooden cottage located in a big parklike and lush garden, private and separate from the main house, only a few minutes to a large forest, lovely beaches and a charming town with shops, cafees and restaurants, and close to the train. It has one main room with two beds put together, a separate kitchen for simple cooking and a bathroom. The terasse has a roof and is surrounded by flowers, trees and bushes. Suited for a romantic getaway.

The Black Cottage + Orangery

Available from April 1. - October 31. The Black Cottage and orangery are parts of the historical place called Skippergaarden (Skipper´s Residence) Fabersvej 2c, in the old Gilleleje. Skipper´s Residence is built in 1797 with last remodeling done in 2003/4. The Black Cottage from 1892, when summer residents became popular. Last remodeling 2019/21. The orangery is from 2009. We have wi-fi and parking available.
