We discovered our cottage in the beautiful Westerwald by chance in 2019 – and immediately fell in love. Between March 2020 and August 2021, we transformed it with a lot of passion and attention to detail into a place where you can relax and recharge your batteries. For me – Janine, a trained hotel manager – it is particularly important to bring people closer to the small and large beauties of life: through time for themselves, with the family or simply in nature. Whether alone, as a couple or with children: our cottage invites you to switch off, feel, pause. A place to find yourself (again) – and to celebrate life.

Last weekend in September and 1 weekend in October 2026 bookable again. Superhost for 42 consecutive months! Beautiful cottage in the Sieg in Windeck natural region. On foot about 3 minutes from the Sieg/Auen. A train station is a 10-minute walk away (RE to Cologne/Aachen and Cologne S-Bahn). Shopping/restaurants are about a 10-minute walk. Accessible entrance, living-dining area, fireplace, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. Outdoor area: terrace, garden, barbecue 2 car parking spaces, max. 2 dogs are welcome.

Ohren - An oasis of tranquility in the countryside

An unique tranquil living space can comfortably accomodate 2-7 persons. Furnishings include queen size beds, bright pool room and an inviting bar. Glass doors open up onto wooden terraces and a koi pond. An adjacent grill under a vine-covered pergola overlooks a large (1400sqm) well-kept garden. It has a private entrance with ample parking. We live on the top floor of the house, but we give our guests their space and guests have most of the garden to themselves. Easily accessible from the A3.

The accommodation was designed with a lot of love for detail. The house shines with independence and special character. The house is heated with a wood pellet heating system. The electricity is generated by a hydroelectric power station adjacent to the valley mill. Sandbox, barbecue area in the garden, table tennis, table soccer, plenty of space to play and direct access to cycling and hiking trails offer you the conditions for a pleasant stay. A place to relax and enjoy.

Dog-friendly home. ENTIRE HOUSE: If you'd like to book the entire house, no problem. Only possible with a booking of 9 or more guests. CORONA UPDATE: To limit risks of transmission, I have moved to an apartment in the cellar. The kitchen and dining/living rooms may be used at any time. These former "communal areas" are now private during your stay - just for you. 4 bedrooms (each sleeps up to 3 people, more if you don't mind being a bit squeezed) and 2 full baths.

Welcome to the vacation home under the oak tree The house is situated in a quiet, nature-loving landscape Magnificent hiking trails invite you to take a walk. In 10 minutes, you are in Hachenburg A medieval town with a historic city center, beautiful half-timbered houses, pedestrian zone and Baroque castle. The Staffel Park, the Kroppacher Switzerland and the Westerwälder lake district are also nearby. Cyclists and bikers are welcome Pet allowed.

OASIS - of peace - surrounded by nature

OASIS - of tranquility - in the middle of the beautiful nature of the Westerwald! Large, secluded property - forest and hiking trails - Westerwaldsteig - right in front of the door. Motorway connection A3 Neuwied/Altenkirchen (No. 36) 6 km away! It is important to note here that parties, loud shouting, etc. are not allowed here, so we kindly ask you to refrain from bachelor parties, party gatherings, etc. Our vacation home is not suitable for this.
