Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Honshu

We loved our stay at Masa’s place. It’s authentic Japanese house, well located and very comfortable. We were Teo families - 8 people total (4 adults and 4 teenage kids) and it was enough space for everyone. Masa was very responsive and even came in late on the first night to accommodate our request. Matsumoto castle is a 12’ walk from the house and the main shopping street with many cafes 5-7’ walk. We felt right at home, yet very Japanese :). Matsumoto is a highlight of our trip to Japan in large part due to a unique home we stayed in. We will definitely be back. Thank you, Masa!

Very nice guest house in a quiet neighbourhood. In the morning we woke up with a gorgeous view into the garden and singing birds. The interior was tasteful and traditional. Sachiko was very friendly and kind! ☺️

We had such a lovely stay that we extended an extra day because we didn’t want to leave. Very peaceful, beautiful views, lovely hot springs bath, and cute nearby town. Perfect place for a relaxing, peaceful getaway. Airi was very kind, responsive, accommodating, and she shared great recommendations!

It is a log house that is supposed to be for a large number of people, but even two people enjoyed it!You will be impressed when you arrive at the building as shown in the photo.I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity!

We will properly heal and return to the accommodation that is so relaxing and peaceful. I will miss the morning of greeting birdsong in nature. I also really enjoyed the traditional Japanese grilled experience with the host family. We will make unforgettable memories in a beautiful traditional Japanese house. Keiko’s house was so unique and special! And Keiko herself was so friendly and helpful, responding within minutes to all of my messages. Her house was small, with 2 floors, all covered in traditional tatami mat floors and little to no furniture (we didn’t need anything more!). The tiny garden in the mini courtyard with glass walls was so unique. The sliding walls allowed for us to close off 2 bedrooms upstairs and even a 3rd downstairs for my older father who couldn’t make it up the steep narrow stairs. Keiko was very easy going with our need to bring one futon downstairs, and she rode her bike to meet us as we walked from the station. The location is perfect, on a small quiet side street in a really nice part of Kyoto with little shops, restaurants, coffee shops and a 7-11 all within a few short blocks. We will definitely recommend Keiko’s house with our friends!

Really enjoyed my stay. Very central location. Just 10 min walk to the heart of Shinjuku area and 15-20min by train to Shibuya. Clean space easy to check in. And free luggage storage which was amazing since my flight back home was at 7pm and check out was at 11am. Staff at the hotel are very friendly and very accommodating. They also speak fluent y English so it was easy to communicate with them.

Kimiko is very friendly and helpfull. She let me do early check in. It was very helpfull for me because I just landed to Japan after 7 hour trip from singapura to Japan at mid night, and I couldn't sleep well in the plane. Landed at 7 am and I really need some rest. I arrived at 12 pm and Kimiko let me early check in. It was help me a lot. And the room, "Oh my God, I love it!!" It felt like home and it's beyond my expectation. I will stay again here if I go to tokyo again.

Had a great time staying here during our trip to Takayama. The location is close to excellent restaurants and the station. The check-in process was very smooth and the place was great. Thank you again!

I stayed for 2weeks. Sayoko was a perfect host, very responsive and helpful with suggestions and booking taxis for Toyosu tuna auction which starts at 5.30am and to the airport station etc. Her place is as published. Clean, safe and with all amenities. Stones throw away from Ginza Street with shops, kombinis, restaurants. It is also near Osaki station which is on the main Yamanote train line...same line as Shibuya, Shinjuku and many other tourist stations. I felt at home and would stay here when I return! The place was well equipped, clean, in a great location near to a supermarket and convenience store. Short walk to a metro station and in a great area.

Great location, very easy access to city centre shopping dining. 納涼牀grade patio, great for breakfast and night drinks. Lots of cool air, no need for ac on summer. Host Ken quick response and service. Can help book restaurants.

Great place, really close to the major tourist area but private and quiet in the home. 7-Eleven in the building and the washing machine is a life savor

Great place, great host. Peter went out of his way to accommodate to our needs, from early check in, transit from the nearest train station to the AirBnb and more. Responsive and hospitable host. The AirBnb is located around 15-20 mins walk away from the train station, with a few convenient stores and supermarkets nearby. Highly recommended place to stay during your stay in Tokyo.

I stayed in late May. It was a better environment than the photos, surrounded by greenery, listening to birds singing, and having a bonfire at night, which was very relaxing. It was a quiet and private environment, but there was also a supermarket nearby, which was convenient. The water was clean and the kitchen was easy to use, so we had a stress-free stay. The host also contacted us before our stay and was very helpful in responding to questions right away. This time, I only stayed one night after climbing, but I wanted to stay more slowly next time!

The rooms in the city of the sky are spacious and have a great view of the sea.Made us a remarkable experience during our stay, the homeowner gave us the most enthusiastic and warmest service.Although I was somewhat uncomfortable on the island, I was fortunate to meet my hometowner's couple and took us out of the island every day by boat to the hospital, thank you very much, and invited us to eat and drink in the city of Moon.Emotionless, the first stop on your next trip to Japan must be Sky Castle.Thank you again, Ai and his wife, when we come back.

We stayed with 3 families of 12 people, but there were plenty of beds and we were able to relax!It was great to have a BBQ even though it was raining!

It was a very luxurious inn, packed with everything you could want in a completely private space. The place was very clean and stylish. The quality and location of the sauna, jacuzzi, infinity chair on the wood deck, and large bath were perfect, and we had the best experience as a couple who love saunas. If I had to say one thing, the kitchen facilities are very well equipped, but the optional meals are not great, so I think it would have been better to bring our own ingredients and cook.

Amazing Airbnb with pool and sauna. Super private and quiet area. Beautiful typical Japanese interior with a luxury touch. The host is very friendly and communication was easy. We would love to come visit again.

Sakura's house is a beautifully renovated home just a few metres from the ocean. It is quiet and private though is just a few minutes drive into a local town. We loved waking up in the morning to the sound of the waves crashing onto the beach. Highly recommended.

Really appreciate Mickey’s attentiveness to my stay! He always respond to my request and will come replenish the items we need on the same day!
