Mökki means "cottage" in Finnish. Please spend your time as you like in a special space that is detached from your daily routine. Guest house Mökki is located in Shinano-cho, a town blessed with forests, lakes, and snow in the northern part of Nagano Prefecture. There are many natural sightseeing spots nearby, such as the Kurohime Highlands, Lake Nojiri, and Togakushi. The building from the early days of the town has been stylishly renovated using natural materials such as cedar, cypress, and plaster.We also paid close attention to the interior design and kitchen utensils so that you can enjoy "living". Winter, completely covered in snow, is dominated by a silver view.You can follow animal tracks on snowshoes and go on a snow picnic, or enjoy a campfire or BBQ in the gazebo by the stream even in winter. There are also 7 ski resorts within a 30-minute drive.It is also an ideal base for skiing and snowboarding in this area, which is famous for its powder snow. Opened in July 2024. "La Fotografia Marrone" is conveniently located a 9-minute walk from "Kanazawa Station" and a 6-minute walk from "Omi-cho Market", where buses leave for Kanazawa's main tourist spots. The building faces a quiet street lined with Kanazawa machiya, and you can see the Higashibetsuin, one of the largest temples in Kanazawa. The building is composed of a traditional exterior and floor plan. In addition, the theme of this inn is "photography", and there is a photo exhibition by the Japanese photographer "Katsuhiko Kimura IG @ kats_portraits". In addition, you can relax indoors while listening to the "music" selected by Mr. Kimura along with the photos. To ensure a relaxing stay for guests, we are also close to Omi-cho Ichiba, and we have facilities such as a washing machine for cooking and medium- to long-term stays. Sightseeing for a day is one of the joys of travel, but I hope you can enjoy a relaxing day.

I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto I started hosting because I love meeting people from all over the world and making new friends. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. Private cypress bath and renovated rooms and made another entrance for the Guests. So now it is 2 separate house Please check the house rules before you book.
