In the cottage you live basic, close to nature in a wonderful hiking and cycling area, in a large, nature-rich place: vegetable garden, just landscaped food forest, flower gardens & pond are ecologically managed. There are a few pets (dog, chickens, running, bees). The refrigerator is underground and the composting toilet an experience in itself. The whole is made as environmentally friendly as possible and an invitation to live simply while respecting nature. There is a wood-burning stove.

Our B&B offers you a spacious apartment (45m2), lockable, on the 1st floor with private entrance. This makes contactless stays possible. Kitchen with 2-burner stove, oven, microwave, fridge, coffee maker and kettle. Through the landing, you enter your own bathroom with sinks, shower and toilet. The private entrance is on the ground floor. If you come with 3 or 4 persons, there is a second living/bedroom in the apartment available (25 m2 extra) Pets are allowed only after consultation.

Estate in the center of Assen

Have you always wanted to stay on an estate with a special family history? Then come to Landgoed Overcingel. Experience the peace and quiet ,which was normal at the time, in a modern way. In 2024, this estate was transferred from a centuries-old family tradition to the Drenths landscape. In the cozy Zuidlaren is our B&B Berend Bedje. Breakfast can be booked for €17.50 per person per night. Are you walking the Pieterpad? Then you only have to walk 9 minutes. The center of Groningen can be reached by bus or car within 20 minutes. Are you looking for peace and nature? Then you can hike and bike beautifully over National Park de Drentsche Aa. The B&B is a detached cottage of 34m2. By means of a sofa bed, it is possible to stay with 4 people. Welcome!

Complete boathouse with a view of the Zuidlaardermeer. A unique place with many places to visit in the area: Sail out onto the lake from the house. Spend the night in a salon car between the horses.

This cozy saloon car is in the yard between the horses, chickens and geese. Enjoy the simplicity of this nice place with a fireplace, your own kitchen, box bed and 'outdoor' shower and toilet (see photos). The car can be heated by a pellet stove and equipped with all comforts for a restful stay. A made bed, clean towels, kitchen linen and final cleaning are included in the price.
