Net, REWE, dm, Getränke-Hoffmann and the Helios Klinikum Berlin-Buch are within walking distance in 10 minutes.

From Birkenstein S-Bahn station, you can reach Berlin-Mitte in 30 minutes. The car can be parked for free on the property.
