This tastefully restored room is close to Jerome, Old Town Cottonwood, and Sedona. Located on the ground floor, it features a comfortable king bed with quality linens, and a private tiled bathroom with a spacious shower. The microwave, mini-fridge and coffeemaker add to your comfort level. You’ll enjoy the Clarkdale Lodge because it's a great retreat after a day out enjoying the many activities on offer locally. The sunny bank of windows faces Jerome and Mingus Mountain.

The space
The Clarkdale Lodge is an historic building that was built in 1914 and originally used as a boarding house for unmarried employees of the local copper smelter. It was subsequently converted into apartments which we are now modernizing to a high standard while preserving historic details where possible. All apartments are tastefully furnished and have HDTV's . High speed Internet access is provided throughout via WiFi.
The deck you see in the photos is a large shared area accessed from the upstairs hall. It has gorgeous views and makes a perfect place to sit and have a glass of wine in the early evenings. There is a shaded patio area underneath it on the ground floor for when the weather is too warm to sit in the sun.

Guest access
All guests have the use of our large second floor deck overlooking the Verde Valley as well as the shady ground floor patio below. We also have a public lounge / reading room on the second floor stocked with a wide range of books. There is, in addition, an inviting small covered porch on the ground floor, near this room.

Clarkdale is a lovely small town, with 2 good restaurants (Mexican, and American), 2 neighborhood bars, a wonderful bakery/cafe, 2 museums, a wine tasting room, and a charming small Town Park, just across the street from the Lodge. The local Verde Canyon Railroad is not to be missed, if you'd enjoy a scenic and relaxing afternoon outing into some great back country. Clarkdale is a great town for walking, too, with sweet and inviting little neighborhoods to explore.
