Homely cottage in the national park

This cozy summer cottage is located in the heart of Bohemian Switzerland National Park in the north of the Czech Republic. The symbol of this National Park – Pravčická brána (Prebischtor) is only 7 km far from our homely cottage. This place is unique because of many possibilities for hiking, cycling, relaxing or for mushroom gathering as well. In a couple of minutes you can cross the border and enjoy other interesting places in Germany. The cottage offers 2 bedrooms with 3 beds upstairs and 1 sofa bed downstairs. The living room is a perfect place to sit with family or friends, play the desk games and have a nice time by the fireplace. Television has mostly German and Czech channels. The kitchen is well equipped with the fridge, the stove, the oven, the coffee machine, the microwave, the kettle and the dishes. Clean towels and linen, soap, shampoo and hairdryer are provided. There is a grill with seating in the garden; a roofed pergola with additional seating behind the cottage offers privacy and rest in the nature. Because we want to keep the unique atmosphere of the place, the cottage does not have a Wi-Fi connection.

Its location at the foot of the forest allows you to experience a peaceful rest and relaxation or an active holiday. Hiking or cycling encourages you to discover the beauty of the national park with attractive tourist destinations. The nearby area of the Elbe Sandstones is also a popular location for both recreational and advanced climbers.

The Hirschbaude is located in Saxon Switzerland, directly in the Kirnitzschtal. You will spend the night in a small hut in the middle of the wildly romantic hillside garden. After your excursions, enjoy the magical evening atmosphere with a campfire or barbecue or warm up in front of the fireplace on cold. Important: There are two (very lovely) free-roaming dogs Ronja+Mary Rose, 2 cats, rabbits and ducks. The accommodation and access isnot barrier-free. A tourist tax must be paid upon arrival.

Villa Sunnyside Gartenhaus

Small summer garden cottage with large terrace in the middle of the countryside. It is a kind of hotel room by the forest. The special thing about it, a gable wall is completely glazed. It can be found in the garden of Villa Sunnyside, above Pillnitz Castle. Not properly heated, so bookable only in summer/autumn! When booking in September/October: There is an oil radiator so it is very well habitable. Please bring warm things and thick socks and only book if you are not sensitive to cold.

Attic Apartment

The apartment on the top floor is truly unique. It is located on the second floor and and the entire place has been restored to original building. The original roof wooden frame, exposed brickwork, original flooring, fully functional wooden stove helps you to imagine what people lived like at the beginning of last century. The main living area is facing the front of the house and therefor you will find a view on the town square, town house and the famous basalt rock “Jehla”.

The painter Caspar David Friedrich sought respite here 200 years ago.
