It's located on the same alley with other two authentic Kyoto Machiya town houses. You can enjoy staying in this house as if you are local residents. There are two rooms on the second floor. One of them has two single beds and the other room has a sofa bed for two which makes four people to stay in this house. The house has everything you need to stay comfortably.

I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto I started hosting because I love meeting people from all over the world and making new friends. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. Private cypress bath and renovated rooms and made another entrance for the Guests. So now it is 2 separate house Please check the house rules before you book.

Reikaku Yasaka | Gion | Historical Machiya

Reikaku Yasaka was a building in ruins with the floor tilted by at least 30cm when we discovered this hidden jewel. The restoration was particularly difficult due to the state it was in but our craftsman’s determination to bring this Machiya back to its formal glory paid off for Reikaku Yasaka. Maximum capacity 10 people. After 4 people the additional fee 6000yen/person/night will be charged. Partying and noise are strictly prohibited. This 100-year-old traditional house called "Machiya" stands in a quiet residential area, a little ways from the center of the city. The renovation work was carried out under the supervision of a "Machiya" expert, while preserving the culturally valuable foundations.
