The Kyoto machiya, which shapes the beautiful scenery of Kyoto, has been restructured into a highly airtight and insulated building so that you can spend comfortably in the steamy summer and cold winter that is unique to Kyoto, leaving the structure of the time. From the Japanese-style room on the first floor, you can see the tsubo garden with the imagery of the "open space" (* garden leading to the tea room). In addition, we have prepared a sofa so that you can look at the tsubo garden while relaxing relaxing in the hallway. At night, you can spend healing time while looking at the lit-up tsubo garden. There are two bedrooms on the second floor, with two single beds and one double bed. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. Reikaku Yasaka was a building in ruins with the floor tilted by at least 30cm when we discovered this hidden jewel. The restoration was particularly difficult due to the state it was in but our craftsman’s determination to bring this Machiya back to its formal glory paid off for Reikaku Yasaka.
