Barn accommodation in Kent

My wife and I stayed for a few nights as a peaceful getaway, and the property was amazing and perfect. Roz was very proactive in sending us instructions prior to our visit, and was very responsive to any questions or queries we had. She is based on-site and so was easily contactable when we needed. She is a very flexible and accommodating host who resolved any questions or issues we ran into during our stay (including running out of tea!), and directed us to nice places to eat. The property is a quaint cottage-like place that is super cosy and has all the amenities we needed, including a space to park right outside. The place was very clean and organised, and had a really nice atmosphere especially when the sun was shining. The dogs Coco and Molly were also so friendly and adorable! Molly came round one evening for a pets and scratches session. Highly recommended and will definitely be trying to come back again.

Just got back and unpacked with smiles on all our faces including the puppy as we had such a lovely stay. Larissa was so welcoming and so kind to us all. Beautiful property and surroundings and would love to come back again soon. High recommended.

What a great place, it’s in a perfect location for so many things to do within a short drive. Wonderful setting and peaceful property, it has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Charlotte was very helpful and provided lots of clear instructions and useful information. Look forward to buyable to return when wee are next in the area.

We had a lovely short break here as a family of four with two teens and a dog. The accommodation is compact but nicely done, well furnished and equipped. Beds and hot tub were immaculate. Aiden recommended the Folkestone harbour arm and local Cliff View Cafe, both of which we visited and enjoyed. We really enjoyed the WW2 tunnels at Dover Castle too. Would definitely recommend.

Pretty, cosy cottage in a small nest of converted, wood-clad farm buildings off the beaten track in deepest Sussex. Compact-but-cute bedrooms, attractive living area with sofas and well-equipped kitchen, small gardens front and rear. Local pubs a short drive away. Communication was excellent and speedy. Thank you for an absolutely lovely stay, we just had an impromptu night away with our children, and Diana's place was perfect. The barn was beautiful and ahad a lovely cosy, homely vibe. The pool was fantastic, my son absolutely loved it. We greatly appreciated all the essentials left for us in the kitchen. Diana and her husband were both lovely and there was plenty of information about the local area. Easy to find and lots to do locally, spotlessly clean and relaxed check in and late check out we're really helpful. We'd love to come back again!!

We had a wonderful time at the Stables. It was a clean, spacious cottage with lots of privacy. Our sons were also thought of and there were lots of toys for them. Emma is very friendly and gave us super good tips for the area.

We had a lovely time in this home away from home. The decor and finishing touches really put this Airbnb above many others I’ve stayed in. Small touches and great quality cooking utensils and crockery (small thing I know but lots of places you have nothing decent to cook with and here it was like being in my own kitchen). The actual area itself is beautiful and we were lucky to have the sheep right outside the back garden making a lovely view to see every day. Charlotte the host was very helpful and able to answer any questions during our stay. Would recommend making the 40 minute drive to Port Lympne safari park if you are in the area for a great day out for the family. 10/10 stay, would love to come back. The only thing that would make this trip better is being able to take the lamp collection home with me 😍 Thanks again Charlotte!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay with Sonia, and can’t recommend this place highly enough! We are very frequent weekend away-ers and this is one of favourite stays so far. Sonia was super friendly and welcoming, and messaged us in advance with some helpful instructions to find the place. The barn / annex is absolutely perfect - really well laid out and had absolutely everything we needed plus some goodies like bread, marmalade and milk which we really appreciated! I don’t think the photos do it justice, but it’s a great space and was spotlessly clean too. It’s clear to see that Sonia puts a lot of effort into the Airbnb. Her own property is immaculately kept too, with a garden so stunning that I asked if I could take a picture, which makes the surroundings really stunning. Overall we had a lovely weekend and would definitely suggest others choose this place for their stays too!

Would definitely recommend this to friends and are very likely to return. Enjoyed local pub The Coach a walk away for burgers and cocktails. Shopped in the local Algar Lodge Farm Shop. The place was easy to find, well maintained, and completely matched the photos. We loved the hot tub. Very peaceful getaway.

We had a fantastic stay! The Barnyard was modern, stylish, and incredibly comfortable — everything was spotless and thoughtfully designed. The shower was especially amazing, definitely one of the best I’ve used. The host, Tony, was friendly, helpful, and very informative, always happy to answer any questions we had. It really made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Lovely 1 night stay for a friend’s 40th birthday celebration! Gorgeous accommodation - spacious but with a cosy cottage feel for our games night and the hot tub was a fab addition! Lisa was super helpful and responsive to my messages when planning our stay and also while we were there too. We all felt very welcome and really enjoyed our ‘short but sweet’ time at the barn - thank you!

We stayed at Gabrielle's converted barn a few weeks ago and in a word... amazing. The venue was immaculate and perfect for our family of 5. The kids loved the cottage and utilised the field one of the evenings. Gabrielle's husband (never got his name!) was helpful and gave directions to some places in the locality as well as being very happy to show us the field connecting to the garden. A small mention of their kids who were fantastically mannered! If there was one complaint... it would be that this venue is undersold! The green space and reservoirs are beautiful. It's truly a gem and we will be hoping to stay again soon!!!

The whole family (all adults) really enjoyed the stay at Valley View Barn, which was a surprise for my Sisters Birthday. Jean & Graeme were informative & supportive hosts, even bringing us a camping stove when we had a power cut! Great Welcome pack, everywhere was spotlessly clean and so many homely touches, certainly home from home. The beds were super comfy & always plenty of hot water for showers etc. Outside shack was great for evening drinks & a place to relax & unwind ready for the next days adventures. We had a full itinerary visiting places we hadn't been for 50 years. Margate, Cliftonville, Broadstairs, Ramsgate, Sandwich, Deal, Canterbury, Whitstable plus 2 National Trust Properties. The Barn was a brilliant base to make more memories we would definitely recommend & maybe return again one day. Thanks again, Jean & Graeme for letting us stay in your wonderful home. Merlin Bird app was great, identified 11 birds in 1st 10mins, amazing place. Loved watching the sheep & chickens

This place is a fabulous, just what we needed for a long weekend away. Convenient to get to many surrounding places. Immaculate, clean accomodation and the provisions at check-in were a very welcome gesture. Nicole is a great host.

What a gem we discovered in the Cow Shed. An imaginative conversion with well considered furnishings and quality equipment. Perfect for honeymoon couples.

We spent an absolutely wonderful few days in Charlie's charming cottage. It was very well appointed with lots of little touches and extras to make our stay very comfortable, we were thrilled with the food hamper and all the condiments/cereals/bits and bobs in the kitchen to make cooking stress free. Location wise, it is close to good roads/transport links yet simultaneously feels right in the middle of the countryside, we enjoyed a number of beautiful walks in the local area and it was very convenient for the nearby Champneys. I would highly recommend staying here :) Thanks for having us!

What an exceptional and beautiful residence. Set in a nice peaceful area. The home is stunning and so tastefully done Even provided us with fresh eggs granola bread and milk! Bed was super comfy. Sharon was so helpful and friendly, providing easy instructions and and providing us with the basis which we thought was extremely thoughtful. The accommodation itself is surrounded in tranquility, yet close to local amenities and even a big Tesco! We most certainly recommend the pheasant plucker for dinner, and would recommended this stay to anyone.

We had a wonderful stay. A lovely barn in a very quiet location. The accommodation is cosy and homely with comfortable beds and very well equipped. We greatly appreciated the provision of breakfast items. Susan is an excellent host, very helpful and quick to communicate. The area is lovely with so many places to explore and beautiful walks - we could have easily stayed longer and would love to return!

Charming little air bnb in an amazing location. Under 5 mins from beautiful Margate beach, but on a quiet side street. The property is a cosy, little 2 bed house. Homely and uncluttered. Even has a little, covered courtyard style garden for chillin' (and drying wet swimming trunks). The hosts, Zack & Georgia, were friendly, super helpful and polite. They always replied very quickly and you got the feeling nothing was ever too much trouble for them. The house even has free parking adjacent to the property. Which is super helpful, as anyone travelling with young children knows you tend to pack half the house. We'd def stay in this little gem of a find again and would highly recommend. Really lovely place in an outbuilding of a beautiful property. The property was private, but close enough to the main house and for visits from their 3 lovely dogs. The place itself was really functionable, with everything you'd need for a nice break away from home inc. kitchen equipment, washing machine, outside sofa etc. We were 2 adults, 1 toddler and 1 newborn + grandma and the space was a perfect size for our group. We'd recommend the Ferry Inn for a nice pub meal and the Gusbourne vineyard is definitely worth a visit. There's some lovely countryside on your doorstep too.
