Apartment in a 300 years old house in the Old Town of Essen-Kettwig next to the river Ruhr. Dining-bedroom with chairs, table, bed (110 x 200 cm), couch, closets , TV, wood burning fireplace. Little kitchen with stove, fridge, water cooker, glasses, dishes etc. Bath with shower. Terracotta floor with underfloor heating. Little terrace with table and chairs outside. In walking distance you find stores, post office, banks and a number of cafes, bars and restaurants in the Old Town. The river Ruhr is next to our house. You can go for a walk, rent a bike or a little boat. The city centers and the trade fairs of Essen and Duesseldorf and the Duesseldorf air port can be reached by car within 20 - 30 minutes. You can also take the train, the station is within walking distance from our house.

Cozy studio

The studio is located in the attic of our house in the south of the city of Mülheim an der Ruhr, in the district of Holthausen/Raadt. The quiet location right by the conservation area does not exclude a very good transport connection. Public transport to the city center and the main train station can be reached in a few minutes on foot. By car, you can reach the A52 in 3 minutes. Essen trade fair: about 10 minutes; Düsseldorf trade fair: about 30 minutes Düsseldorf Airport: about 20 minutes; CentrO: about 25 minutes (each by car)

Our beautiful apartment is located in the southernmost district of Essen, in Kettwig. From the balcony on the 6th floor, you have an indirect view of the Ruhr reservoir, which is right at your doorstep (about 5 minutes' walk). The apartment has 2 bedrooms (1x 2 single beds, 1x a large double bed), a large living room with sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchen and a shower room. There is also a balcony with indirect views over the Ruhr and Kettwig. The living spaces are very bright and friendly.

The Duisburg houseboat Lore in the heart of the city

Our small 13 meter long houseboat Lore is located in the inner harbor of Duisburg, 3 minutes from the city center in one of the trendiest areas of the city: the inner harbour. The Lore has two spacious bedrooms, a roof terrace with lounge furniture, a small covered terrace, a living room with a direct view of the water, a kitchen and of course a bathroom with shower and toilet. The Lore is winter festival and can be booked 365 days a year. We have had three boats in the harbor since 2025.

In our house in a small cul-de-sac (insofar as the address "Hauptstrasse" is misleading), we rent a closed 2-room apartment (sleeping/living area) on the first floor with a small kitchen and bathroom. The location is ideal for tourists, business people and trade fair visitors. Since 08/01/2025, the city of Essen has levied an accommodation tax of 5% and a maximum of €9 per night. This is included in the nightly rate.
