The skiing and hiking areas in the Thuringian Forest (Oberhof with international competition venues and Schmiedefeld) are easily accessible by car in 20-30 minutes as well as by public transport.

Our house is located in the historic village center of Bischleben, a district of the state capital Erfurt. The quiet location on the Gera River on the edge of the Steigerwald in connection with the proximity to the city and the good transport connections offers an ideal starting point for visits to Erfurt and the surrounding area, as well as for hiking and biking excursions. The Gera bike path leads directly along the house. Business travelers will find quiet and relaxing nights as well as free parking.

Relax in the stylish and quiet house on the edge of the forest in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, not far from the Rennsteig (2 km away). House is modern and fully furnished with living room including fireplace, sofa, table, TV. The kitchen-living room with induction stove, dishwasher and washing machine is located on the first floor. It is also worth having breakfast/grilling on the terrace with magnificent views in good weather. Bedroom (1.60 m bed), sofa as well as workstation (fast Wi-Fi) and view.

The paths to art and culture are also just around the corner. Within 50 kilometers you will find the cultural city of Weimar, the medieval state capital of Erfurt and the aristocratic Gotha. It is also close to the winter sports resorts of Suhl and Oberhof. My place is great for couples and solo travelers.
